Hudson-based Corero Network Security has named Marty Meyer as CEO, the company announced.
Meyer joined the company in March as chief financial officer and general manager, and most recently worked as an executive at Newton-based video software maker ExtendMedia, which was sold to Cisco Systems in 2010.
The company, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange, plans to build a security systems business focused on the network security market. In February, it acquired Westborough-based Top Layer Security, a provider of network intrusion prevention systems as well as distributed denial of service defense systems. The company sells those systems to commercial and government clients to protect online assets from cyber threats.
