Hy9 Corp., a Hopkinton-based manufacturer of hydrogen purifiers and generators for use in vehicles, announced its board of directors has appointed a former software and technology executive as president and CEO.
Gary Clarke, 48, has worked for Amazon Kindle, Vignette and Netscape Communications. He most recently served as general manager of Olive Software, which is based in Israel and has operations in Colorado.
Hy9 Chairman Jon Rotenstreich said Clarke will lead the company through a high-growth phase.
"His experience with emerging technologies is invaluable as we commercialize our advanced technologies to power the hydrogen economy," he said.
Clarke replaces Brad Bradshaw, who was appointed interim CEO in 2008 after a previous executive left the company. The company did not disclose why Bradshaw was leaving, but Clarke said in a statement: "Brad Bradshaw joined Hy9 in 2008 and helped navigate the company through its early stages and success. Brad's passion for delivering solutions to the hydrogen economy is well known."
