Westborough-based lithium-ion battery maker Boston-Power Inc. has named Keith Schmid as its new CEO, as former CEO and company founder Christina Lampe-Önnerud becomes executive chairman.
Schmid is the former president and CEO of a Power Distribution Inc. of Virginia. He has also held executive-level positions at several other power and communications companies.
In her new position, Lampe- Önnerud will remain the company’s key spokesperson and will focus on its vision, strategy and innovation-to-market-development work.
