Anna Maria College in Paxton has hired Billye W. Auclair as vice president for academic affairs.
Auclair will begin her new post in July.
She has a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s in genetics from the University of New Hampshire and a doctorate in veterinary and animal sciences from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
She previously served as the vice president for academic affairs at Saint Joseph College in West Hartford, Conn., from 2005 to 2009. She currently serves as a biology professor at the college and, since 1990, has served in a variety of capacities including chair of the faculty, and chair of the recent New England Association of Schools and Colleges reaccreditation committee.
