A new $1-million, 7,400-square-foot community health center in the Market Basket plaza in Fitchburg has been completed.
The space, a former grocery store, was converted by Leominster-based Green Leaf Construction into a medical, dental and behavioral health office for ACTION Community Health of Community Health Connections.
The construction firm announced the project’s completion Tuesday.Â
The primary care, dental and behavioral health clinic is now in a central and accessible location which features a large gathering room, kitchen, lockers, and showers.
Community Health Connections, based in Fitchburg, operates three other locations, including another in Fitchburg and one each in Gardner and Leominster.
