Marlborough-based data storage equipment maker Netezza Corp. has begun a sales and marketing effort in China.
In partnership with the Alliance Development Group, the company has opened a new “Proof of Concept Center” in Beijing to allow IT executives to check out Netezza technology first hand.
The company said growing businesses in China are producing huge volumes of data, but are struggling with how to store and analyze that data.
Netezza called China “a key strategic growth area for Netezza.” The company already has several customers in Asia.
