NEBS completes acquisition
Enfield-based New England Bancshares, the holding company for Enfield Federal Savings and Loan Association, completed the acquisition of First Valley Bancorp Inc. NEBS paid $9 for each share of First Valley. New England Bancshares, with total assets of $284.2 million as of March 31, will pay $10.8 million for all of First Valley's outstanding shares.
