Raytheon Co. of Marlborough has received an $8.7-million addition to a previously awarded contract that will supply the U.S. Navy with radios that can communicate real-time threat data and provide defense support against ballistic missiles.
A statement from Raytheon said the products, called Joint Tactical Terminal Senior (JTT-Sr) radios, can also broadcast missile detection warnings.
Raytheon said it recently completed upgrades to the JTT-Sr so it could meet security requirements and incorporate next-generation communication technology.
