Nativity School names new president

The Nativity School of Worcester has named Patrick T. Maloney as its new president effective immediately, according to a statement released Monday.

Maloney was appointed by the board of trustees of the independent, Jesuit school serving boys in grades 5 through 8. He served as the interim president since July 2016, when Alex Zequeira left the post to become the headmaster of St. John’s HIgh School in Shrewsbury.

Maloney, a Worcester native and current resident, joined The Nativity School in 2012 as director of advancement. In 2015, he was promoted to vice president of advancement. He has also served on a number of local boards, including those of Notre Dame Academy and Preservation Worcester.
