National Grid Donates $100K For Haiti

National Grid, a major utility company in the region, announced it will donate $100,000 to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts in Haiti, which was devastated by an earthquake earlier this week.

In addition to the $100,000 donation, the company announced it will match all employee donations to the American Red Cross for Haiti through the end of February.

The Waltham-based utility company has about 3.3 million electricity customers in New England and also distributes natural gas to 3.4 million customers.
