A health care IT industry veteran with more than two decades in the field has been appointed president of Natick-based Interbit Data, the company announced.
Interbit, which provides software and services for the health care industry, said Ken Hoffman will succeed Arthur Young, founding partner of the company.
Young has been president of Interbit since it launched in 1997.
In a statement welcoming Hoffman to the new role, Young said, “We have worked with Ken in the past and know that his years of working in the health care industry have given him the clinical, administrative, operational and business experience that will enable him to lead Interbit Data forward. His results-oriented approach and ability to think strategically will play a pivotal role in continuing our track record of innovation while helping us increase revenue and profitability.”
In the same statement, Hoffman said he looks forward to “building on Interbit Data’s existing foundation of report distribution and business continuance solutions and fully exploiting the opportunities available in today’s health care IT environment."
Interbit said Hoffman is experienced in design, policy, procedure and best practice strategy for implementing initiatives for hospitals. He has developed and delivered integrated applications and interfaces for hundreds of hospitals, the company said.
Hoffman comes to Interbit from HCISolution Inc. where he is CEO. He said the company, which provides IT applications for health care organizations, will be a development arm of Interbit, expanding its offerings.
