Natick medical device company Soteira Inc. has received pre-market clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug administration for a system used in spinal surgery.
The Shield Kyphoplasty System is intended for use in surgery to treat osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures. Soteira said it offers physicians better control over the process.
