Natick company brings secure texting to hospitals

Interbit Data, of Natick, has created a program that it says will allow for speedier interactions through secure texting while still protecting patient information.

The company has launched NetRelay, a product that provides secure texting and other automated HIPAA-compliant message delivery. NetRelay integrates with Healthcare Information System (HCIS) applications, taking any data from those systems and turning it into a secure message that is delivered to mobile devices.

According to NetRelay, this kind of communication can increase efficiency.

Interbit Data was founded in 1997 and provides health care software to clients.
