Nasuni, a cloud storage company with an office in Marlborough, saw software subscription revenue spike 36% in 2020, the Boston-based company announced Wednesday.
The coronavirus pandemic forcing a shift in computing needs to online cloud storage has been a boon for Nasuni. Contract value bookings in the fourth quarter of 2020 totaled $24.6 million, its most ever, the company said in its earnings report. Large-customer growth has been a bright point, with customers with annual subscriptions of more than $100,000 making up nearly one-third of the company's customer base.
Nasuni also announced a patent it received last summer for a cloud storage interfacing system, its 14th patent. More are pending.
Nasuni, which began in Natick before moving to Boston and then expanding back to MetroWest in 2019, has caught the eye of investors, raising $169 million since its inception. That includes $40 million in new funding it announced last July.
