Nashoba hires plastic surgeon at new center

Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer announced last week the opening of its new Center for Hand and Plastic Surgery and the addition of a new surgeon to its medical team.
Dr. James Shenko, a board-certified and fellowship-trained plastic surgeon with 15 years of experience in Central Massachusetts, is now seeing patients at the center. Shenko specializes in cosmetic surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, with a sub-specialty in hand surgery, according to the hospital.
Patients can come to the center for hand procedures such as carpal and cubital tunnel release, trigger finger release, hand and wrist fractures and other surgeries. Plastic and reconstructive surgeries, including breast reconstruction, scar revisions and skin cancer surgery are also available.
