Mount Wachusett Community College students now have a new academic center after it and several other buildings were remodeled this summer.
The Senator Stephen M. Brewer Center for Civic Learning and Community Engagement was remodeled and the project completion was celebrated on Tuesday.
The project included a new layout and new furniture.
“The improvements to the center create a more comfortable and collaborative work environment that will help facilitate the center’s ongoing service learning projects, new food pantry and everyday assistance of students,” said center Director Shelley Errington Nicholson, in a press release. “Being so close to the newly opened Bemis Student Center will only improve our ability to serve students.”
The project coincided with the new Bemis Student Center, a $3.5 million, 4,500-square-foot lounge and recreation center for students.
