Kristin Carvalho has joined MutualOne Bank as president, chief operating officer, and treasurer, the Framingham bank announced on Wednesday.
Carvalho has more than three decades of financial industry experience. She most recently served as president, CEO, and chairperson at Cobblestone Management LLC., which is a credit risk management consulting company based throughout the Northeast and New York. Prior to that role, she was president, CEO and a director at The Milford National Bank and Trust Co. for more than 10 years until its merger in 2018.
Before Carvalho, Steven Sousa was the COO and executive vice president of MutualOne, according to his LinkedIn profile, which still lists him as working in that position. The bank didn’t immediately respond Thursday to questions about Sousa’s role.
Carvalho, a doctoral candidate in business administration from the University of Rhode Island, has earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from UMass Dartmouth, an MBA from Bryant University in Rhode Island, and a master’s degree in banking and financial services from Suffolk University in Boston.
MutualOne Bank operates three locations in Framingham and Natick. The bank has $756 million in local deposits, according to data from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. This makes it the 14th largest bank in Central Massachusetts.
