Ashland company M&M Moving and Storage Co. has bought and will soon move into the former Westborough home of Lew Horton Distributing Co.
The owners of the recently closed Lew Horton Distributing Co. sold the facility at 15 Walkup Drive for nearly $2.8 million.
The buyer, M&M Owner Marcin Papla, bought the property in a deal closed Dec. 17. The sellers were Lewis Horton and MWS Realty Trust.
M&M is already doing some renovation work to the site and plans to move in by mid-February or March, Papla said. The company, which Papla started in 2006, provides local and long-distance moving for residential and commercial customers, and has between 25 and 40 employees depending on the season.
The three-acre Walkup Drive site was last assessed by the Town of Westbough at nearly $1.7 million. It last sold in 1988 for nearly $1.6 million.
