Spencer Bank promoted RACHEL A.WOODS to assistant vice president, loan operations. She had served as a loan operations officer since 2009. Woods started with Spencer Bank in 1999, moving from a teller to a loan operations manager in 2005. She has a bachelor's in business administration from Worcester State University.

Southbridge Savings Bank hired GONZALO J. PUIGBO as senior vice president of residential & consumer lending. He has a bachelor's degree from Framingham State University.

RE/MAX Advantage 1 hired JESSE M. RITZ as a sales representative. Ritz has a bachelor's degree in psychology from University of Rochester in New York, and an MBA from Boston College in Chestnut Hill. He is a resident of Worcester.

Worcester-based law firm Hassett & Donnelly PC hired MARGARITA I. WARREN as an attorney. Her practice will focus on civil litigation. Warren earned her bachelor's degree from Brown University in Providence; a master's in social sciences, American politics and health policy from the University of Chicago; and her law degree from Suffolk University in Boston.

Habitat for Humanity-MetroWest/Greater Worcester hired W. TIMOTHY FIRMENT as its new executive director, to succeed former executive director Harriett Lebow. Firment previously served as executive director of the Fruitlands Museum in Harvard. His private-sector career includes operations director positions at Dunkin Brands and Pepsi-Co, and as a financial auditor. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University in University Park.

Auburn-based Harrington Insurance Agency promoted LYNN BIGWOOD WALKER to manager of the agency's new office in Auburn. The new, larger office replaces Harrington's former locations in Oxford and West Boylston. Walker had been a customer service representative in Oxford since joining Harrington Insurance in 2006. She lives in Oxford.

Worcester-based Reliant Medical Group hired DR. DIEGO ILLANES for its department of obstetrics and gynecology. He earned his medical degree from Universidad Católica de Córdoba in Argentina. Dr. Illanes is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

The Center for Living & Working, Inc. in Worcester hired TARA M. O'CONNOR as executive director. She was most recently CFO/assistant director of Fitchburg-based Veteran Homestead Inc. O'Connor is a graduate of Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. and received a master's degree in business from Lesley University in Cambridge.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute hired YEHIA MASSOUD as head of the department of electrical and computer engineering. He most recently worked as head of the electrical and computer engineering department at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Massoud received his PhD in electrical and computer engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Anna Maria College appointed I. DAVID DANIELS as director of the fire science, emergency management and public administration programs. He will replace the retiring Everett G. Pierce, who will continue to teach. Daniels, an assistant professor, will also oversee the college's bachelor of fire science, master of emergency management and master of public administration programs. He has a bachelor's degree in fire services administration and a master's degree in human resources management.

Worcester-based F. W. Madigan Co. Inc. hired MICHAEL FULLER as project manager and David Rousselle as an estimator. Prior to joining Madigan, Fuller was an assistant project manager for CAM H.V.A.C & Construction Inc. Rousselle is a graduate of Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I., with a bachelor's in construction management.

Worcester-based Reliant Medical Group hired DR. JOHNNY MAO to practice in the department of surgical specialties, specializing in otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery at Saint Vincent Hospital. He received his medical degree from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, Calif. Dr. Mao is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.

Parmenter VNA and Community Care Inc. appointed MICHAEL C. FEE of Sudbury to its board of trustees. He received his bachelor's degree from Harvard University in Cambridge and his law degree from Boston College in Chestnut Hill. He is a shareholder at Pierce & Mandell PC in Boston.
