Bank of America Merrill Lynch named GENE VAN VORT senior vice president and senior client manager of business banking for the Worcester market. He most recently served as director of trade sales with Bank of America Merrill Lynch's global trade and supply chain solutions business, and prior to that spent 15 years with GE Capital. Van Vort has a bachelor's degree in finance from Ithaca College in Ithaca, N.Y., and an MBA from Northeastern University in Boston. He lives in Franklin.
Worcester-based Reliant Medical Group hired DR. ALI EMAMI to practice in the neurology division at Worcester Medical Center (Saint Vincent Hospital). He earned his medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran. He completed his residency and fellowship in neurophysiology at SUNY-Downstate in Brooklyn, N.Y.
DAN COBB, MARC MOSCHELLA, JAMI ANDERSON, JOSH DEMING, ROB HENNESSY and HEATHER WAICE were promoted by Maynard-based JM Coull Inc., a construction management and design-build firm. Cobb and Moschella are now senior project managers. Anderson, Deming and Hennessy have been named project managers; and Waice was promoted to assistant project manager.
Worcester-based TD Bank promoted ANTHONY J. PASQUALE to regional vice president for Central Massachusetts. He joined the bank in 1999 as an assistant vice president in commercial small business lending and most recently served as a senior loan officer. He is a graduate of Salem State University in Salem, Mass., and lives in Lancaster.
NABIL FAROOQ was named to the board of directors at Worcester-based Easter Seals Massachusetts. He is senior vice president of commercial lending at Rollstone Bank & Trust in Fitchburg. Farooq is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and has an MBA from Assumption College, both in Worcester. He lives in Uxbridge.
MICHAEL MULRAIN was named to the board of directors at Kayem Foods in Chelsea. Mulrain is chief financial officer and chief operating officer of Polar Beverages in Worcester.
TIMOTHY HAMMOND was hired as assistant executive director for programs at Perkins, a Lancaster-based special education agency. Hammond, a Princeton resident, came to Perkins in 2001 and worked as a veteran administrator and supervisor.
SER exposition services of Worcester hired GREG BARBEAU as an account executive. He previously worked in the sales department at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence. Barbeau is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Providence with a bachelor's degree in hotel management.
MIKE CRONIN was hired by Worcester-based Charter's TV3 as a Worcester News Tonight general assignment news reporter. He recently served as bureau news reporter at KFBB /KHBB ABC-5, in Helena, Mont., where he covered all beats including general news, court, politics and features. Cronin is a graduate of Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I.
Milford-based Atlas Travel hired AARON KELLING as chief commercial officer, a newly created position. He previously worked at AirPlus International, as executive vice president of strategic partnerships and sales effectiveness. Kelling will join the company in January.
