ANDREA BLOOD, CHARLES PARK, AVNISH PURI, CHRISTINE REARWIN and TINA RAMSEY were promoted at Hudson-based Avidia Bank. Blood, Park, Puri and Rearwin were named assistant vice presidents in the commercial loan division. Ramsey was promoted to commercial relationship officer in the bank's Westborough division. Blood was hired by the bank in 2005 and previously worked at Community National Bank in Hudson. Park joined Avidia in 2008. He is also a CPA and has previous corporate finance experience. Puri was hired in 2010 and has an MBA from Babson College in Wellesley. Rearwin joined Avidia in 2011 and earned her MBA from Northeastern University in Boston. Ramsey joined Avidia in 2009. She was previously a commercial lending processing officer at Ben Franklin Bank.
EVAN P. BRASSARD was promoted to director of quality improvement at Rehabilitative Resources Inc. in Sturbridge, which serves people with disabilities. He is the emergency management director for the town of Monson, where he lives. Brassard has a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and a master's of public administration degree from Anna Maria College in Paxton.
NATHAN D. ORIOL was named assistant administrator of Oakdale Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center in West Boylston by Holden-based Oriol Health Care. He is a 2012 graduate of the University of New Hampshire and the son of administrator David Oriol, the third generation of the family to be involved in the business. Nathan Oriol is a resident of Holden.
ANDREW A. BROWN was named senior vice president and chief financial officer at Bay State Savings Bank in Worcester. He was most recently senior vice president, CFO and treasurer at Abington Bank in North Abington. Brown has a bachelor's degree from Bentley University in Waltham and an MBA from Providence College.
PATRICK T. MALONEY was appointed to the supervisory committee of Millbury Federal Credit Union. He is director of advancement at the Nativity School of Worcester. Maloney is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester and a lifelong resident of the city.
MARY-PAT CORMIER was hired as a partner by Worcester law firm Bowditch & Dewey, to help expand the firm's business litigation practice. She will be based in the firm's Boston office. Cormier is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
JENNIFER ANDERSON was promoted by Spencer Bank to assistant vice president and branch manager for the bank's main office. Anderson has been with the bank since 2004. She is a graduate of Quinsigamond Community College and lives in Spencer.
BENJAMIN A. CHANTHANOUVONG, EUGENE I. SANTOS-ROESLER and LAUREN HAND were promoted at Southbridge-based Savers Bank. Chanthanouvong was named security officer and the bank's first facilities manager. Santos-Roesler is now an assistant vice president and business banking officer in the Worcester, Uxbridge, and Grafton areas. Hand, who has been with Savers since 2004, was named assistant vice president and marketing manager.
KATHY F. ROCHA was appointed to the TechSandBox board of directors in Southborough. She is founder of KFR & Associates, a consulting company. eeeShe is also a managing director with Golden Seeds, a private equity angel investment group that specializes in investing in companies led by women entrepreneurs. Rocha was previously a vice president of business strategy and operations for Cisco Systems Network Management Technology Group.
LEAH ORRELL was hired as advertising and sponsorship sales manager at the DCU Center in Worcester. She previously worked for the DCU as a group sales coordinator and more recently at LogMeIn, a Boston-based tech firm. Orrell is a graduate of Westfield State University.
H. PAUL DORMAN and CURTIS LOCKSHIN were named to the board of directors at Westborough-based RXi Pharmaceuticals Corp., a biotech company. Dorman is chairman and CEO of DFB Pharmaceuticals, a Fort Worth, Texas-based holding company. He has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Tulane University in New Orleans and a law degree from Loyola University. Lockshin is an independent pharmaceutical and life sciences consultant for OPKO Health Inc. He began his career as a scientist with Sepracor. Lockshin has a Ph.D. in biological chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
RENEE LETENDRE was promoted to retail lending manager at Barre Savings Bank. She was previously bank officer and sales manager at the bank's Paxton branch. She joined the bank last year. Letendre previously worked at Central One Federal Credit Union in Shrewsbury, where she served as a personal financial representative before becoming a lending specialist. Letendre lives in Hubbardston.
