Movers & Shakers from the October 26, 2009 Issue

JOHN HART has been promoted to process development manager at North Brookfield-based Quabaug Corp. He will be responsible for the implementation of all new product launches in the company and act as the liaison between Quabaug’s development team and operations team.

MAUREEN L. SULLIVAN was appointed as partner at Smith, Sullivan & Co. PC, a women-owned and operated firm in Westborough. Sullivan joined Linda M. Smith PC in 2001. With Sullivan admitted as a partner, the firm became Smith, Sullivan & Co. PC. Sullivan manages small business and individual accounting and tax services and oversees the firm’s compliance with industry-wide standards. She also supervises the peer-review program.

ELAINE STEPHENS was named executive vice president of Overlook Visiting Nurse Association in Charlton. She was previously president and CEO of the Visiting Nurse Service of Greater Rhode Island. She has a nursing degree from Boston College and a master’s in public health from Boston University.

BRYAN TRAINOR has been named vice president, marketing for Bulbs.com, the Worcester online light bulb retailer. He has more than 13 years of marketing communications and product management experience.

Saint John’s High School in Shrewsbury has appointed JASON BARELL as dean of students. Previously, he served as the chair of the physical education department at John Hope College Prep High School in Chicago.

GABE N. SIMON and MICHAEL N. LUSSIER have been named to the Becker College board of trustees. Simon, a Becker alumnus, owns five Dunkin’ Donuts franchises in Central Massachusetts. Lussier is president and CEO of Webster First Federal Credit Union and serves as vice chair of the National Association of Federal Credit Unions.

AdCare Outpatient Services of Worcester has hired JEREMY T. POTTER and JOHANNA S. SPENCER as clinical supervisors. Potter most recently worked for BayPath Elder Services and Advocates Community Counseling Services in Marlborough. Spencer has worked in behavioral health and substance abuse counseling for North Central Human Services and the Lipton Center in Gardner, Community Health and Prevention Services in Leominster and the Behavioral Medicine Center at UMass Medical Center in Worcester.

GoodFellas Construction of Worcester has hired DOUG HOBSON as a new project developer. In his new position, Hobson will help the company build its Cape Cod division.

JANE SCAMMON was named director of business development of simpleHome in Westborough. Scammon has more than 15 years of experience in the home appliance industry, most recently at a Dorchester appliance company.

Commerce Bank of Worcester has hired ALAN JENNE as vice president of consumer lending and promoted Nancy Doane to assistant vice president in the electronic funds transfer department. Jenne previously served as CEO of the Lawrence Firefighters Federal Credit Union and as senior vice president of consumer lending for First Essex Bank in Andover.

Framingham Cooperative Bank has appointed KIMBERLY SAMBUCHI to manage its new electronic banking branch. She joined the bank as a teller in 2002 and became a customer service representative in 2003 and a retail banking analyst in 2007.

O’Brien Commercial Properties of Marlborough has promoted SARAH J. HUNSUCKER to its brokerage team. Hunsucker has worked for the brokerage and property management firm for more than a year as marketing coordinator, supporting a team of four brokers and helping with property management and client relations.

ROBERT J. BADZMIEROWSKI, manager of legal and business affairs for Bellingham environmental cleanup company TMC Services Inc., has been elected to the advisory board of the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center of Massachusetts. Besides his position with TMC, Badzmierowski is a real estate agent with Re/Max Executive Realty in Hopkinton.

Westborough-based recruitment company JCSI has hired KEVIN JONES as its new vice president of sales. Jones has 20 years of experience in sales and marketing, most recently directing sales operations for Jobfox.com.

National electricity company Glacial Energy has promoted KANDI PERRY from business development manager for Central Massachusetts to regional director. In her new position, Perry will help expand the company’s operations in Western Massachusetts.
