MCU Commercial Services LLC, a subsidiary of Millbury Credit Union, has chosen Paul R. Crimlisk as its senior vice president and manager. Crimlisk previously served as vice president and commercial loan officer at Commerce Bank & Trust in Worcester.

Fallon Community Health Plan of Worcester has appointed Richard C. Commander as vice president of operations. Commander will oversee service operations for the health plan, including enrollment, billing, claims administration and customer service. Before moving to FCHP, Commander served for more than 30 years, working in the operations and information technology areas.

Clinton Hospital has appointed Elizabeth Gunderson as medical director of its hospital medicine program. Gunderson has been a member of the UMass Memorial Medical Center Hospital Medicine Division for more than two years. She joined Clinton Hospital earlier this year when UMass Memorial began offering hospital medicine services to the hospital.

HealthAlliance Hospital has hired an oncologist and hematologist who was voted a “top doc” in the field by his colleagues in New Hampshire. James D. O’Shea joined the Simonds-Sinon Regional Cancer Center at the hospital’s Burbank Campus in Fitchburg. O’Shea came to Burbank from Nashua Oncology Hematology-Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.

David W. Hillis, president and CEO of AdCare Hospital in Worcester, is now a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Only 7,500 health care executives have the FACHE credential, which requires passing a comprehensive examination, meeting academic and experiential criteria, earning continuing education credits and demonstrating professional and community involvement.

Cristal Perriello has been promoted to the newly created position of manager of media relations and communications at The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester. Perriello joined the college in 2007 and previously served as media relations and communications coordinator. Before working for the college, she was employed in television at ABC 40 in Springfield and WB 56 in Boston.

St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester has appointed Dawn Romano as the executive director of cardiovascular services. Romano previously served as the director of nursing services, cardiovascular service line, at Temple University Health System. Before that, she held clinical managerial positions at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center and Kennedy Memorial Hospital.

Fallon Community Health Plan in Worcester has appointed Kristen R. Veitch as director of technical and business services. In her new position, Veitch will lead FCHP’s project management office, data warehousing operations and business intelligence. She will also oversee the centralization and management of health plan data. Veitch previously worked at Private Healthcare Systems Inc. in Waltham, serving as director of information technology.

Elise S. Kopley has joined the special needs planning practice group at Fletcher, Tilton & Whipple PC as an associate. Kopley concentrates on special needs planning, including guardianship, advocacy and estate planning. She will work out of the firm’s Worcester and Framingham offices. Kopley previously served as assistant general counsel at the Massachusetts Department of Mental Retardation.

Natick machine vision systems maker Cognex Corp. has appointed Tom Nash as president of its surface inspection systems division. The division develops turnkey vision systems to inspect the surfaces of materials manufactured in a continuous process. Nash replaces Markku Jaaskelainen, who has moved to a new position building a team to develop and market a new PC-based vision system. Both Nash and Jaaskelainen will report to Robert J. Shillman, chairman and CEO of Congnex.

The Worcester Regional Transit Authority has promoted Tom Coyne as assistant administrator. Coyne will handle budgets, marketing, long-range planning grants and new programs. He previously served as the WRTA’s finance manager and has worked for the agency since 2001.

Gardner’s New England Peptide LLC has named three specialists to its newly formed scientific advisory board. Vincent Bille, the founder of Brussels-based Marble Pharma Consulting, Tomi Sawyer, chief scientific officer at Cambridge-based Aileron Therapeutics and Ved Srivastava, associate director of discovery research at Amylin Pharmaceuticals in San Diego have all agreed to join the board, the company said.

Alternatives Unlimited Inc., a Whitinsville service provider for people with disabilities, has given Edward F. Manzi Jr., president and CEO of Fidelity Bank in Fitchburg, an award for his work with the organization. Alternatives presented Manzi with the UniBank “Redefining Community” Award.
