The Training Associates of Westborough has hired CHRIS URBAN and STEPHANIE VISCOMI as project managers and TRICIA GIRARD as director of training. Urban, of Chelmsford, has 14 years of project management experience in the high-tech industry and comes to TTA from Advantage Technical where he was a senior technical recruiter. Viscomi joins TTA from Averion International, with a background in quality assurance and project coordination. She lives in Holden. Girard previously worked as a training consultant for Iron Mountain Digital and as a project training manager and consultant at Lightbridge Inc. A Hudson resident, she has a bachelor’s degree from Framingham State College and a master’s in education from Fitchburg State College.

Shrewsbury-based information technology firm SwiftecIT has added SCOTT CRANFORD of Berlin as vice president of operations. Cranford has more than 18 years of enterprise technology experience and will lead delivery of managed data, network storage and other services. Most recently Cranford was a vice president with ASA International in Framingham and has held senior management, sales and operations positions with Oracle, Epicor and Infor. He has a bachelor’s degree in international affairs and commerce from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif.

Accounting firm CCR has named BILL TARZIA as the managing partner of its Westborough home office. He will oversee day-to-day operations, business development and staff management. Tarzia has been with CCR since 2002 and has more than 17 years of public accounting experience with concentrations in the health care, medical devices, software development and retail industries.

ANDREW EVENS has been named deputy director for clinical and translational research and medical director of clinical research for the cancer center within UMass Memorial Health Care in Worcester. He has also been named associate professor of medicine and will lead the lymphoma program at University of Massachusetts Medical School. Evens joins UMass Memorial from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, where he had been since 2003.

Transdermal medical device maker Echo Therapeutics Inc. of Franklin has added JOHN GARIBOTTO and KENNETH GARY to its senior management team. Garibotto will serve as vice president of operations, a newly created position. He was a co-founder of Insulet Corp., where he served as vice president of R&D and engineering. Garibotto has a bachelor’s in industrial technology from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from Northeastern University in Boston. Gary is vice president of research, clinical and new products. He was previously R&D venture director for Abbott Diabetes Care and general manager of Breathquant Medical. He has a bachelor’s degree in bioengineering, a master’s in chemical engineering from Columbia University in New York and an MBA from Boston University.

PATRICIA L. DAVIDSON, a partner at the Worcester-based law firm Mirick O’Connell, has been elected chair of the board of directors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest. Davidson is a partner in Mirick O’Connell’s probate, trust and fiduciary litigation group and the business and general litigation group. She has been a member of the board at the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest since 2003, served as vice-chair for the past seven years and has also served as chair of the organization’s resource development committee. Davidson is from Ashland.

DON CAPMAN, president of Leominster-based J.D. Associates, has been elected president the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts. Capman has been a partner/owner of J.D. Associates, a retail software company, since 1992.

Fitchburg-based Workers’ Credit Union has re-elected MARINA M. RAHER of Sterling, JOHN MORSE of Lunenburg and JACK S. FORD of Lancaster to its board of directors. They will serve three-year terms, expiring in 2014. In addition, the board of directors elected JAMES E. ROUSE of Shrewsbury as chairman of the board and Ford as vice chairman. Raher is the owner of an accounting firm in Sterling. Rouse is president and CEO of Micron Products Inc. in Fitchburg. Morse is president of Morse Printing and Graphics in Fitchburg. Ford is the retired treasurer and chief financial officer of Peterborough Oil Co. Inc. previously located in Leominster, and has recently begun a financial consulting business.

The Worcester-based law firm Mirick O’Connell has named NICHOLAS ANASTASOPOULOS and STEPHEN F. MADAUS as partners.  Anastasopoulos, a resident of West Roxbury, earned his law degree from New England School of Law and his bachelor’s from Northeastern University in Boston. Prior to joining Mirick O’Connell in 2003 he was a labor counsel for the city of Boston. Anastasopoulos is a member of Mirick O’Connell’s labor, employment and employee benefits group. Madaus, a Worcester native and Worcester Polytechnic Institute graduate, received his law degree from Suffolk University in Boston. He joined Mirick O’Connell after serving more than five years as a Worcester assistant city solicitor.

Rubber product maker Quabaug Corp. of North Brookfield recently announced the following promotions: Aaron Ala of Sturbridge, director of technical development; James Barkoskie of Brimfield, vice president of human resources and customer support; Craig Barton of East Longmeadow, vice president of manufacturing and general manager; Armando Collesei of Worcester, assistant general manager; Kevin Donahue Jr. of Worcester, brand alignment manager; Arthur Glispin of Oxford, director of finance; Brian Hanrahan of North Brookfield, vice president of continuous improvement; John McLoughlin of Southbridge, vice president of sales; and Cheryl Woodman of West Brookfield, director of purchasing.

BROOK SPAULDING joined Milford-based Photofabrication Engineering Inc. as director of marketing and will also serve as sales manager for the decorative products division. He founded Verivis Consulting LLC five years ago and previously worked at 7R Communications in Wayland and Sheppard Envelope Co. in Auburn. Spaulding has a bachelor’s degree in government and economics from Dartmouth College and a a master’s in science in management degree from MIT. He lives in Weston.

CHRISTOPHER J. WATSON has been hired as senior vice president and commercial team lender at UniBank’s Worcester loan office. Watson comes to UniBank from People’s United Bank and previous to that, worked for Bank of America for 20 years. Watson, a Shrewsbury resident, earned his bachelor’s in economics from University of Massachusetts Amherst.
