Worcester Polytechnic Institute has hired MARK P. RICE as dean of business. Rice will start this summer, replacing McRae Banks, who has led the department of management for 15 years. Rice previously spent six years at Babson College as dean of the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business. Before that, he worked for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s School of Management and Tech-nology.
Everything Channel of Framingham has hired MIRIAM KUTCHER as vice president of marketing. Kutcher will work in direct marketing, public relations, event sponsorship and advertising for the marketing and sales company, which is part of United Business Media Ltd.
Valeritas Inc., a Bridgewater, N.J., medical technology company with R&D and manufacturing operations in Shrewsbury, has hired JAMES E. DENTZER as its new CFO. Dentzer previously worked as CFO of Amicus Therapeutics and as vice president and corporate controller of Biogen Idec. He also held senior financial roles at E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Co.
Montachusett Home Care Corp. of Leominster has hired MARY L. NEAL, who worked for the state-funded service coordination nonprofit three decades ago, as its new assistant director. Neal worked for MHCC for six years as a crisis intervention counselor and case manager before moving to the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs in 1983. At the state office she helped guide nonprofit agencies, including her old employer, in developing protective services programs.
GARY CARSKADDAN was named director of advancement at Saint John’s High School in Shrewsbury. He previously was director of the Holy Cross Fund. He has a bachelor’s degree from Rider College and a master’s in education from the University of Vermont in Burlington.
JOHN SANSOUCY was named head of lean manufacturing practice at Blackstone Management & Consulting of Sutton. He previously worked in management for manufacturing companies including Hologic, Superwinch and Worcester’s ECM Plastics.
Framingham Co-operative Bank has promoted DONNA M. SAHELY to operations supervisor and CHRISTINA M. GARBARINO to senior account representative. Sahely started at the bank as a teller in 1994. She moved up through the bank to head teller, operations specialist and senior operations specialist before her most recent promotion. Garbarino was hired as a teller at the bank in 2004 and then became a customer service representative.
Westborough-based energy services firm Conservation Services Group has hired three new human resources professionals: DONNA M. ANGELICO, KEVIN C. FARRELL and SHARON L. GILBERT, and promoted MAUREEN K. HUFFAM to senior vice president. Angelico is filling the newly created position of director of human resource operations. Farrell is the new director of learning and development, making him responsible for the firm’s professional development programs. Gilbert fills the new position of director of recruitment, making her responsible for attracting candidates, promoting HR training programs and developing recruiting guidelines. Huffam started at CSG in 2008 as senior director of HR.
The Worcester-based law firm of Fletcher, Tilton & Whipple PC has named FREDERICK M. MISILIO JR. as President of the firm, SUMNER B. TILTON JR. as liaison to the executive committee and RICHARD C. BARRY JR., MARK L. DONAHUE and FAITH V. EASTER as the executive committee members. Misilo is chairman of the firm’s elder law and special needs practice group, working in special needs planning, estate planning, guardianship and elder law. Fletcher, Tilton & Whipple has offices in Worcester, Framingham and Hyannis.
WAYNE A. COTTLE, president and CEO of Dean Bank in Franklin, has been re-elected as secretary of the Independent Community Bankers of America for 2010-2011. Cottle has served in several capacities with ICBA: as an at-large director on the executive committee, as the elected state director for Massachusetts on the Board of Directors, as chairman of the ICBA Mutual Bank Council and as a member of the Congressional Affairs, Policy Development, Payments and Technology and Education Commit-tees.
Marlborough-based Coolcentric, a new division of Vette Corp. focused on making cooling systems for data centers, has hired DONNA MICHAEL as director of global marketing communications. Before taking her new position, Michael was a founder and director of marketing for Zatora Software. She has also worked in marketing for companies like Sun Micro-systems, Compaq, Hewlett-Packard and Digital Equipment Corp.
Fallon Community Health Plan of Worcester has hired PATRICIA M. ZINKUS as director of case management. Zinkus previously worked as director of revenue operations at Public Sector Partners Inc., a consulting organization operated by the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester.
