Worcester State College has appointed CHARLES CULLUM as provost and vice president for academic affairs. Cullum currently works as associate provost and dean of graduate studies at Kutztown University in Penn-sylvania. He has a doctorate in English from Temple University and has worked in higher education administration for 14 years.
STACIE BELAND was named professional advancement project director for Edward Street Child Services in Worcester. Beland graduated from Clark University in Worcester and went on to work there as secretary to the university’s president. In her new role she will help early childhood educators move forward in their careers.
Bank of America has promoted MARC PISA to assistant vice president. Pisa, who lives in Holden, has been a reverse mortgage loan officer with the bank for the past two years. He has worked in reverse mortgages for more than five years altogether.
After interning with Lunenburg-based P.J. Keating Co. in Lunenburg, Worcester Polytechnic Institute graduates BRENDAN DEVEREAUX and NATHAN LEVESQUE have found full-time jobs with the company. Devereaux is P.J. Keating’s assistant site manager for Cranston, R.I. He started out with the company during the summer of 2007, as a senior majoring in engineering. Levesque spent two summers interning with the company while he was a civil engineering major at WPI. He’s now a construction superintendent at the company’s Acushnet branch.
The Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts has elected new officers: Chairman DR. GEORGE ABRAHAM, Treasurer HENRY L. FERGUSON III, Secretary DR. MATILDE CASTIEL; Assistant Treasurer JEFFREY W. HILLIS and Assistant Secretary DR. JOHN P. GUSHA. Also continuing to serve on the board are LISA R. FORTUNA, JAY S. HIMMELSTEIN, ROBIN B. MCFEE, MICHAEL J. MUTCHLER, LUIS G. PEREZ, BRIAN J. PERRY and LYNDA M. YOUNG.
TD Bank has named LEMONIA MIRONIDIS store manager at its Nobscot branch in Framingham. Before TD Bank, she was a banking sales liaison for automated services at NCR Corp. in Newton.
TIMOTHY J. COONEY, former Worcester mayor and executive director of the Central Massachusetts Chapter of the National Safety Council, has been named to the board of directors of the Westborough-based Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts.
JENNIFER HUSMER has been named communications coordinator at the Gardner-based nonprofit RCAP Solutions. Husmer was previously a marketing specialist with Digital Federal Credit Union. She has a bachelor’s degree in communication from Western New England College.
JOSHUA P. LAPAN, who began as a junior accountant at Worcester accounting firm Shepherd & Goldstein LLP 13 years ago, is now a principal with the firm. In his new position, LaPan will be involved in the firm’s administration, client servicing, new business development and marketing. He will also help recruit and train new staff.
The Massachusetts Association of Personnel Services has named MARK CARLSON, senior vice president of The Suburban Group Inc. in Grafton, as its president for 2010. Carlson has worked for the staffing firm, formerly known as Suburban Staffing, since 1999. Before that, he worked in mutual funds and craft beverage sales. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Framingham State College.
The Museum of Russian Icons in Clinton has named TARA REDDY YOUNG deputy director. Young previously worked as director of education and public programs at the Higgins Armory Museum in Worcester, as associate curator of education at the Tacoma Art Museum in Washington and as assistant curator of modern and contemporary art at the Seattle Art Museum.
STEVE LEWIS, design principal at Hopkinton’s Gorman Richardson Architects, has now added his name to the firm’s letterhead, making it Gorman Richardson Lewis Architects. Lewis has been with the firm for 20 years and is involved in design work, as well as the preparation of presentation renderings and graphics for all its projects. He also designs logos and graphics for the firm’s clients.
Clinton Savings Bank has announced the following promotions: SCOTT A. YOULDEN, vice president and IT officer; KRISTIN E. ZIRKEL, assistant vice president and marketing officer; LYNNE G. MCCORMACK, administrative officer; WILLIAM M. KEYLES, training and development officer; SHARON L. ETTINGER, senior retirement account specialist; and KRISTEN M. MEYER, assistant vice president.
Lenze SE of Germany has appointed CHUCK EDWARDS as president of Lenze Americas, which includes Lenze-AC Tech. Lenze-AC Tech also announced that ERIC KLEIN has been promoted to director of sales for the Americas. Klein was previously the company’s Northeast regional sales director.
