Savers Bank of Southbridge has hired two former Sovereign Bank employees: JONATHAN KELLEY as business development officer and BARBARA GALE as branch manager of its Southbridge office. Kelly previously served as a business banking representative for Sovereign Bank. In his new position, he will work with Savers’ branch managers to sell the bank’s products to consumers and businesses. Gale previously worked at Sovereign for 15 years, in roles including branch manager, bank officer and assistant vice president. In her new position, she will run the Savers branch located at 270 Main St. in Southbridge. She replaces Vivian Delisle, who is retiring after 38 years with Savers.
Nichols College of Dudley has named MICHAEL J. STANTON vice president for administration. In his new position, he will be responsible for departments including the business office, building and grounds, facilities, food services, human resources, the campus bookstore and public safety. He will also oversee the college budget. Stanton previously worked as controller at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Webster Five Cents Savings Bank has named ALEX CRUZ as branch manager for its Commercial Street branch in Worcester. Cruz previously worked as a branch manager at Sovereign Bank for five years. Before that, he was a financial adviser for Morgan Stanley and a loss prevention manger for Filene’s Department Stores.
Hudson-based Avidia Bank has hired PATRICIA MAHER-HARRINGTON as assistant vice president and market manager for the bank’s Leominster office. In her new position, Maher-Harrington will be charged with expanding the bank’s presence in the Leominster area. Previously, she worked for Commonwealth National Bank, Strata Bank, Bay State Savings Bank and Milford National.
DAVID DELANEY has joined the Oxford office of Whitinsville-based ERA Key Realty Services. Delaney is the owner of DJ business Delaney Entertainment. Previously, he worked as a sales manager for Weymouth Honda and for Betera Nissan in Auburn.
Medway exercise equipment maker Cybex International Inc. has hired LARRY GULKO as chief marketing officer. Gulko has worked with brands including Johnson & Johnson, Reebok, Gillette, PGA of America, Kodak and Siemens. He has also served as president of the American Marketing Association, Boston and on the advisory council of George Washington University.
Assumption College in Worcester has hired DENNIS BRAUN as director of continuing and career education. Braun previously worked for two other local colleges, Becker and Anna Maria. He has a bachelor’s degree from Bridgewater State College and an MBA from Babson College.
Worcester data center technology company Wright Line has hired EDWARD K. EACUEO as director of its data center business unit and GARY P. WONG as director of applications engineering. Eacueo has worked for 25 years in sales, marketing and engineering for IT, commercial electronics and military markets. His experience includes time at American Power Conversion, Pentair Electronic Pack-aging, Garlo Gavazzi and Raytheon. Wong has more than 20 years of experience in the data center industry, including time at American Power Conversion, Fidelity Investments and Kemper Insurance.
RONALD MASIELLO, a partner with Worcester CPA firm Shepherd & Goldstein, has been elected president of the CPA Auto Dealer Consultants Association. The national association represents CPA firms that provide services to car dealers.
REBECCA ADAMS was named account supervisor at the Worcester-based CPA firm of Shepherd & Goldstein. She earned her accountancy degree from Assumption College in Worcester. She was previously an audit manager for a Rhode Island-based regional CPA firm.
The Milford National Bank and Trust Co. has promoted PETER MAZZINI and SHEFALI DESAI to vice president positions. Mazzini’s new title is vice president, security officer and collections manager. He has been with Milford since 1993 and in the banking business for 30 years. Desai has 18 years of experience in banking and has worked in customer service and as a branch officer, a consumer loan officer and a business development officer. She worked at Cambridge Savings Bank as an assistant manager before starting at Milford.
SimplexGrinnell has named JIM SULLIVAN as total service manager for the Worcester district. Sullivan worked at the company’s Providence office for the past 10 years, rising from inspector to service supervisor. In his new position, he will oversee the district’s fire and life-safety services.
Worcester-based accounting firm P.L. Jones & Associates PC has hired MATTHEW P. KRUMSIEK as a senior accountant. Previously, Krumsiek was a client relationship manager with a Framingham CPA firm. He has a bachelor’s degree from Nichols College in Dudley with dual majors in finance and accounting. n
