Law firm Bowditch & Dewey has added C. KIMBERLY BAKEBERG as an associate in the firm’s Worcester office, in its business and finance practice area. Her practice will focus on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and other general corporate law matters. Before joining the firm, Bakeberg was a corporate associate at Lawson & Weitzen LLP in Boston.

Leominister-based Fidelity Bank has promoted MICHAEL O. GILLES to chief operating officer. He was previously the bank’s executive vice president and chief financial officer. Gilles joined Fidelity Bank last year after having held senior management positions in Massachusetts community banks such as Beverly National Bank.

Boston-based Caregiver Homes of Massachusetts Inc. has appointed ALEXIS SILVER branch manager for its new Northern Worcester County location in Worcester. Silver was formerly the human service policy and program coordinator for the Framingham Caregiver Homes branch.

Worcester-based Spectrum Health Systems Inc. has hired PETER B. ROCKHOLZ as its chief operating officer. He was previously Connecticut’s deputy commissioner of mental health and addiction services. Rockholz, a licensed clinical social worker, earned his master’s degree in social work from Columbia University in New York City and holds a faculty appointment at the Yale School of Medicine. 

St. Mary’s Credit Union in Marlborough has re-elected three directors to three-year terms: NICHOLAS A. DIBUONO, JAMES F. TOOHEY and RICHARD VALARIOTI. DiBuono, of Marlborough, is an educational fundraising consultant. Toohey, who is serving his 41st term as director, is a retired school administrator and lives in Marlborough. Valarioti, an entrepreneur, is a resident of Southborough.

DAVID J. MCQUADE, senior government affairs consultant for Murtha Cullina LLP’s government affairs group in Hartford, has been elected to the board of directors of Providence & Worcester Railroad Co. He is the founder and senior member of Murtha Cullina’s legislative and administrative lobbying team.

JOHN TESSICINI of Milford has been elected president of the Massachusetts chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA). He is controller at Consigli Construction Co. Inc. in Milford. Tessicini has served on the CFMA board for four years and has been a member since 1999. 

Bay State Savings Bank has promoted TAMARA M. BEDARD of East Thompson, Conn., to mortgage officer/senior underwriter at its Worcester headquarters. Formerly a mortgage underwriter at the bank, she was hired in 2003 as a mortgage processor.

Worcester-based Barry Communications has hired DOMENIC S. PALMERINO of Worcester as an account manager. He most recently worked as a corporate account specialist for Grand Wireless, a Verizon retailer in Auburn and Billerica, and before that as an account executive at Charter Communications.

Hudson-based furniture manufacturing firm AIS has named BRAD ARMACOST executive vice president of strategic initiatives. Armacost most recently served as president of Chordus and Office Furniture USA.

The MetroWest Community Health Care Foundation has hired MICHELLE HILLMAN as its communications officer. Hillman most recently worked as a business reporter at the Boston Business Journal.

North Brookfield Savings Bank has hired ANTHONY J. PIERMARINI as a vice president and commercial loan officer. Piermarini, of Templeton, is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester. He was most recently a vice president at Fidelity Bank.

DENNIS MICHAEL LINDGREN has been elected shareholder in the law firm of Pierce & Mandell PC, which has an office in Sudbury. Lindgren is a trial attorney who specializes in business litigation, personal injury and insurance defense law. 

MICHAEL A. ENGEL has been elected to the Spencer Savings Bank Board of Investment. FRANCIS J. TRAPASSO has been elected to the bank’s board of directors. Also elected: JOHN J. JACKSON, chairman; K. MICHAEL ROBBINS, president and CEO; RICHARD W. HEBSON, senior vice president and treasurer; RANDAL D. WEBBER, senior vice president; MICHAEL J. QUINK, senior vice president; PRISCILLA L.
