Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester has named JENNY TARDIE has nursing director of its Center for Woman & Infants. Tardie comes to Saint Vincent from Boston Medical Center and has 30 years of experience in maternal child health nursing.
Worcester’s RXi Pharmaceuticals Corp. has hired KONSTANTINOS ANDRIKOPOULOS as vice president, legal counsel and chief intellectual property counsel. Before moving to RXi, Andrikopoulos worked for six years at Shire Human Genetic Therapies Inc., in positions including senior patent counsel.
HEATHER E. DUMAIS, a former employee of Leominster Credit Union, has returned to her old employer with a new title. Dumais is now assistant vice president of business lending for the credit union. Previously, she served as a consumer indirect loan officer at LCU, before moving on to the same position at TD Banknorth in Worcester.
American Profit Recovery of Marlborough has hired two new account executives, MANON PAULINE THERIAULT of Ashland and MICHAEL NISBET of Marlborough. The new hires will maintain portfolios of clients for the accounts receivable firm. Nisbet has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Providence College. He previously held sales jobs at Robert Half International and Verizon FIOS.
Fallon Community Health Plan of Worcester announced the following appointments: ANTHONY J. PETISCE JR., senior director of IT operations; Dr. SETH M. LEWIN, senior medical director; and KATE C. MCEVOY-ZDONCYK, senior director of government and community relations.
Dr. ABHAY PATEL of the UMass Memorial Musculoskeletal Center of Excellence has joined the staff of Clinton Hospital as part of a partnership between the two hospitals to offer outpatient orthopedic care at Clinton. Patel graduated from Boston University School of Medicine, completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in New York and did fellowships at Orlando Regional Medical Center and Michigan International Foot and Ankle Center.
Conservation Services Group, a national energy services company based in Westborough, has appointed BRUCE TEAL as its Southeast regional director. In the newly created position, Teal heads up account management, operations and logistics, as well as new business development, in the Southeast, where CSG is expanding its operations.
The New England Board of Higher Education has chosen MICHAEL K. THOMAS, a trustee of Worcester State College, as its new president and CEO. Thomas served as interim president and CEO of NEBHE since January. Before that, he was the nonprofit’s senior vice president, directing its policy, research and programmatic activities. He has worked for NEBHE since 2002, holding several different titles.
MARK P. BILOTTA, CEO of the Colleges of Worcester Consortium has been appointed as a board member at the Massachusetts Health and Educational Facilities Authority, an organization that oversees tax-exempt financing for nonprofits. Bilotta, a Worcester resident, started his five-year term in August.
University of Massachusetts President Jack M. Wilson honored six of the system’s faculty members, including two from UMass Medical School in Worcester, for their community service efforts. DEBORAH HARMON HINES, professor of cell biology, was chosen for her work helping children from under-represented communities in Worcester gain science and math skills necessary for health science and science careers. JEAN KING, professor of psychiatry, was chosen for her work with women and adolescent girls. She has been involved in Daybreak Resources for Women and Children of Worcester for 16 years.
The American Heart Association has chosen JAMES W. COGHLIN SR. to receive its “Heart of Gold” award at the group’s Central MA Heart Ball in February. The annual award goes to area corporate leaders who support the AHA’s mission.
St. Mary’s Credit Union has promoted ALAN HERZOG to branch manager of its 133 West Main St. office in Marlborough. Herzog has 11 years of experience in banking. He served as assistant branch manager of another St. Mary’s Credit Union office since 2005.
Internal medicine physician NEAL M. FALLIS has moved from the Fallon Clinic in Westborough to Summit ElderCare in Charlton. In his new position, Fallis provides comprehensive medical care to Summit ElderCare participants, including chronic disease management and acute and preventive care.
TED GOWDY has founded a new real estate consulting company in Southborough. The Gowdy Group LLC offers project management services to individuals and small and medium-sized businesses.
