JOHN E. DECKER was named vice president and commercial lending officer of UniBank of Whitinsville. John has been a banker for 20 years and is now part of the management team. Decker previously served as vice president and commercial banker for Millennium BCP Bank in Fall River. He has a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University in New York.
The Worcester Animal Rescue League has promoted ALLIE SIMONE from acting director to executive director and elected three new board members: KIM E. STONE, MATT LABARRE and LORI SCHAFER. Simone has been acting director for the past year and has overseen the organization’s restructuring. Stone is director of major giving for Worcester Academy. Previously, she worked as a United Methodist pastor in Chicopee and Grafton and as director of food services for Rosie’s Place in Boston. LaBarre operates LaBarre Communications in Worcester. He has held volunteer leadership roles with organizations including AMC Cancer Research Center, Salvation Army ARC and American Cancer Society. Shafer owns Lori Schafer Public Relations. She runs communications programs for arts and entertainment, health care, higher education and banking clients, and is particularly focused on nonprofits.
Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP, a Rhode Island-based law firm with an office in Westborough, has hired two new lawyers, BRIAN P. GALLOGLY and ALEXANDRA W. PEZZELLO. Gallogly, who was hired as of counsel, focuses on corporate clients including issuers, underwriters, nonprofits and private equity firms. He handles public and structured finance transactions. Gallogly has a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and a law degree from Suffolk University Law School. Pezzello focuses on the issuance of tax-exempt financing and municipal law. She previously served as law clerk for a Rhode Island Supreme Court justice. She has a bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College and a law degree from Roger Williams University School of Law.
MICHAEL J. VIGNEUX, the former public affairs director for the Colleges of Worcester Consortium Inc., has joined Davis Advertising of Worcester as public relations manager. Vigneux’s new job includes public relations functions for Davis itself and for external clients. Vigneux worked for the consortium for the past four years and, before that, he held public relations positions at Assumption College, University of Hartford and Brown University. Vigneux has a bachelor’s degree in communications and culture from Clark University.
The Seven Hills Foundation has hired SUSAN G. ASH as human resource associate recruiter and promoted KATHLEEN REVILLE to senior vice president and chief program officer. Ash’s new role will include developing and implementing recruitment and training strategies for Seven Hills and its clinical affiliates. Ash has worked in recruitment and training for more than a decade, most recently as a general manager for Borders Group Inc. and as program director for Claim Creations in Barre. Reville was promoted after four years as Seven Hills’ vice president of advancement. In her new position, she will oversee all the clinical programs run by Seven Hills and its affiliates. Before joining Seven Hills, Reville worked as a consultant to nonprofits, colleges and universities.
Westborough-based accounting firm CCR LLP has promoted 13 employees. In the firm’s assurance department, DAVID ANNUNZIATA of Cherry Valley was promoted to staff level, MIKE SERAFINI of Leominster was promoted to senior level and LEAH ALBERTINI of Hudson, ERIK BARNARD of Franklin and DAN HARRINGTON of Mansfield were all promoted to supervisor. In the tax department, KRISTIN FISH of Worcester, GARRETT MORAND of Worcester and ANDREW RUDZINSKI of Shrewsbury were promoted to staff level, while JULIE CHEVALIER of Holden, JACKIE KELLEY of Upton, SABINE KOLBECK of Bethesda, Md., and JEFF KRISTOFF of Sterling were promoted to manager. In the administrative department, TRACY ANTONUCCI of Revere was promoted to communications manager.
DAVID CHAPIN was named the office manager of Scottrade’s Shrewsbury branch. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Park University in Arizona and was previously a stock broker at Scottrade’s Tuscon, Ariz., branch office.
Fallon Community Health Plan of Worcester has appointed R. SCOTT WALKER as executive vice president and CFO. Walker previously served as CFO of ComplexCare Solutions Inc., and, before that, as CFO of national accounts and business alliances at Aetna. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Saint Michael’s College in Vermont. Walker replaces Charles Goheen, who has taken a job at Boston-based Neighborhood Health Plan.
Hopkinton’s EMC Corp. of has named MARK LEWIS as its chief strategy officer for information infrastructure products and RICK DEVENUTI as president of its information intelligence group. Lewis’s new position will include leading a new ventures group, focusing on expanding the company’s presence on the West Coast. Lewis has worked for EMC since 2002, and before that was at Hewlett-Packard/Compaq. Devenuti, who previously served as the COO of the information intelligence group, will take Lewis’s old job as head of that group. His job will include working on content solutions and complementary partners. Devenuti joined EMC in 2008 after 19 years at Microsoft Corp.
Toronto-based TD Bank has hired KAREN V. NORMAN as store manager of its Framingham location on Temple Street. Norman has worked in banking for seven years, including serving as Bank of America’s branch manager in Newton. In her new position, she oversees business development, lending, personnel issues and day-to-day operations at the Framingham branch. Norman has a bachelor’s degree from Brown University in Rhode Island. She lives in Framingham.
LEIGH RAE has been named director of the Doyle Center and Community Park in Leominster. The Doyle Center is one of 17 parks and tracts of land in Central Massachusetts owned by the Trustees of Reservations, a land trust founded in 1891. Rae’s new job includes building new programs at the Doyle Center, the Putnam Conservation Institute and Doyle Community Park and helping to make the property welcoming and accessible to the Fitchburg-Leominster community. Rae previously led the Parks for People program in Newark, N.J., as state director of The Trust for Public Land. Before that, she was a vice president at The Prudential, handling real estate portfolios.
Saint Vincent Hospital of Worcester has hired JANE METZGER as chief nursing officer. Metzger previously worked for Caritas Christi Healthcare System as vice president of clinical operations for emergency services. Before that, she was a senior vice president and CNO at Rhode Island Hospital/Lifespan Healthcare Systems. Metzger has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, N.H., a master’s from Northern Illinois University and a Ph.D. from Widener University in Pennsylvania.
