Becker College of Worcester has named DAVID A. ELLIS as senior vice president and chief financial officer. He had been serving as the interim vice president for finance and CFO. Ellis has a bachelor's degree from the University of Miami, a master's of education from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, an MBA from Babson College and a PhD from Boston College. 

The Massachusetts Hospital Association has named EDWARD H. MOORE, president and CEO of Harrington HealthCare System in Southbridge, to its board of trustees. He will serve a three-year term, ending in June 2014.

Webster Five Cents Savings Bank promoted SAM BITAR of Oxford to Shrewsbury branch manager, from assistant branch manager. Bitar graduated from Assumption College in Worcester and earned his master’s from Clark University in Worcester in 2010. The bank also promoted EDWARD GAUDETTE to vice president and information systems manager. He joined Webster Five in 2010 as the systems support specialist. Prior to joining Webster Five, Gaudette worked at Fidelity Investments.

ERA Key Realty Services in Milford added KATHY M. NEWTON to its sales team. Newton is a resident of Plainville and has recently joined the real estate field. Newton previously worked with Connor & Hilliard in Walpole for five years.

TD Bank named CHARLES R. PHILLIPS vice president at TD Equipment Finance in Framingham, a subsidiary of TD Bank. He previously worked at Hewlett Packard and Bank of America Global Vendor Finance.

United Bank, which has branches in Central Massachusetts, named BARBARA-JEAN DELORIA senior vice president of commercial and retail lending and MILLY M. PARZYCHOWSKI as assistant vice president and residential lending sales manager. DeLoria will remain based at the bank’s corporate headquarters in West Springfield. Parzychowski joins the bank from Mortgage Master in West Springfield.

Clinton Savings Bank promoted JOAN E. MORAN to vice president and senior retail lending officer. She has been a bank employee for 21 years. Moran is a graduate of Fitchburg State University with a degree in education.

LESLEY WALLS was named to head the new Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health School of Optometry in Worcester, and KENT DAUM has been hired as vice dean. Walls most recently served as president of Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton. Daum comes to MCPHS from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago.

MARGARET J. HURLEY was named president-elect of the Worcester County Bar Association. She is chief of the Central Massachusetts Regional Office and director of the municipal law unit for the Office of the Attorney General. ANTHONY J. VIGLIOTTI was elected secretary/treasurer. Named to the executive committee were: PAUL C. FOLEY, THOMAS V. MURRAY JR., ANNE L. O’CONNOR, MARK I. ZARROW, SCOTT R. DAVIS, PATRICK A. FOX, JULIE S. MORRILL and WILLIAM D. WAGNER.

ANGELA ROCHELEAU, CEO of Worcester-based Home Staff, was named to the Better Business Bureau of Central New England Board of Directors. She is a graduate of Worcester State University.

DOUGLAS PENDLETON of Princeton joined business brokerage George & Co. in Worcester. Pendleton was the founder and president of Pendleton Printers Inc., which merged with Reservoir Printing of Marlborough and Apex Press of Westborough, and was later sold.

Worcester-based Cinch IT Inc. hired RICHARD PORTER as an account executive primarily focusing on new business development. His background includes various sales roles and United States Special Operations Army Ranger training.

MICHAEL BLANEY joined the Keller Williams Realty Westborough Market Center. He was previously an independent consultant with GLG Advisors in New York.

MARK R. HARANAS was named Framingham Cooperative Bank’s chief executive officer. Haranas assumed the position of president and chief operating officer of the bank in 2008 and before that served as general counsel to the bank for almost 20 years.

NANCY VARALLO, owner of The Varallo Group of Worcester, was elected vice president of the National Court Reporters Association. She was elected to the board in 2009. Varallo, a freelance court reporter, has developed and taught several court reporting courses.  

ALEX ZEQUEIRA was named president of Nativity School of Worcester, an accredited tuition-free, independent school for boys from low-income families. Zequeira was the founding principal of the school in 2003.
