Workers’ Credit Union of Fitchburg has elected J. PAUL H. GAUVIN, president of Fitchburg beauty supply company Henri Enterprises Inc., to its board of directors. The credit union also re-elected Jonathan Ratila, treasurer and business manager of the Raivaaja Publishing Co. in Fitchburg, to the board. Both directors will serve three-year terms, expiring in 2012.
KRISTIN T. CARVALHO has been named president and CEO of Milford National Bank and Trust Co. She moved up from senior vice president and senior loan officer to the bank’s top spot. She has 20 years of experience in commercial banking and has been at Milford since 2007.
RXi Pharmaceuticals Corp. of Worcester has hired RAMANI VARANASI as vice president of business development and promoted STEPHEN DIPALMA and JOANNE KAMENS to new executive positions. In her new position, Varanasi will help develop RXi’s business partnerships. DiPalma, RXi’s CFO, added executive vice president of business operations to his title. The new position makes him responsible for operational, development and strategic planning. Kamens, formerly director of discovery research, is now senior director of discovery.
CORY J. BILODEAU has joined the business and corporate practice group at Fletcher, Tilton & Whipple PC in Worcester. Bilodeau concentrates on corporate tax law. He earned a law degree from Roger Williams University School of Law, a master of law degree in taxation from Boston University School of Law and a B.S. from Boston College.
The Worcester-based Seven Hills Foundation has appointed JUDITH L. DREW, a former employee of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, as chief learning officer. In her new role, Drew will make sure staff are properly trained to be in compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. She will also help create new professional development and personal growth programs through the foundation’s corporate college.
Westborough recruiting company JCSI has hired BRIAN CAVOLI as director of marketing and social media strategies. Cavoli will help the company with its online marketing, Web 2.0 and social media efforts. JCSI assists human resource departments in sourcing and screening candidates.
Senior Comfort Services, a Sutton firm that offers non-medical home care services, has hired NANCY VAN PATTEN-STEIGER as director of home care operations and MELISSA PLOURDE as community relations director. Van Patten-Steiger is a registered nurse with experience in health and home care. She has worked at Excella Homecare and Life Care at Home of Massachusetts. Plourde has almost 20 years of professional human services experience, including serving as director of professional relationships at VistaCare
North Brookfield Savings Bank has promoted LISA GERULAITIS and DARLENE JARNAGAN. Gerulaitis will remain a residential mortgage loan officer while adding the new title of loan servicing manager to her business cards. Jarnagan, who has worked for the bank since 1995, is now compliance coordinator for the bank. In her new position, she develops, implements and administers the bank’s regulatory compliance program.
Saint Vincent Hospital has chosen NANCY PEPPER, a nurse with a history of service at the hospital, as nursing director. Pepper got her nursing degree from the former Saint Vincent Hospital School of Nursing and then worked as a staff nurse in the surgical area. She later moved up to assistant nurse manager for the surgical area. She left the hospital but returned five years ago as a cardiac surgery/telemetry nurse.
Woodmeister Master Builders of Holden has hired five new employees: JONATHAN CARON, PAUL GUITARD, AMY PORCHENICK, SCOTT ROBICHAUD and LYNNE SWANSON. Caron was hired as an account manager. Guitard joined the company as an account executive in business development. Porchenick is now the regional project manager for the company in the Newport, R.I. area. Robichaud is a project manager for the company’s millwork team. Swanson is a new account manager assistant from the company.
Consigli Construction Co. Inc. of Milford has hired mechanical, engineering and plumbing industry veterans MICHAEL BARRY and MICHAEL CULCASI. Barry will focus on mechanical designs and end-user training for Consigli clients. He previously worked for RDK Engineers. Culcasi moves to Consigli from Wellesley College, where he served as an owner’s representative. In his new position, he will help configure mechanical, engineering and plumbing systems for clients.
After being laid off from a position as director of business development at an employee training company, ANNE IDE has started a new venture designed to help professionals find work. ProSourcEXP.com, based in Charlton, aims to help people with more than 15 years of experience find contract work, consulting and project positions.
