Workers’ Credit Union of Fitchburg has elected the following new directors: MELISSA MARANDA, director of gift planning, Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts; PATRICK L. MULDOON, president and CEO, HealthAlliance Hospital; ERIC D. SHAPIRO, co-founder and principal, Lexvest Partners LLC and RAYMOND J. MARTINO, president and CEO, Simonds International. The credit union has re-elected: JAMES E. ROUSE, president and CEO, Micron Products; and WILHO J. MYLLYMAKI, retired from United Cooperative Farmers Inc.
EMC Corp. of Hopkinton has named JEREMY BURTON executive vice president and chief marketing officer. Burton has worked in the IT industry for 20 years. In his new position he will be responsible for all aspects of EMC’s marketing. He will report to chairman and CEO Joe Tucci. Burton previously was president and CEO of Serena Software.
Fidelity Bank of Leominster has promoted JACKIE SGRO to executive vice president and chief LifeDesign officer. Sgro has been with the bank for four years, working in both retail banking and commercial services. In her new position, she is responsible for retail banking, deposit operations and the bank’s LifeDesign program, which creates a customized set of financial services for an individual or business.
Marlborough Savings Bank has appointed CAROL I. SANCHEZ, founder of Marlborough and Boston CPA firm Sanchez & Santiago LLC, to its board of directors. Sanchez has worked in managerial and executive jobs for 30 years, with experience at companies including Global Resources, Staples Inc., The Timber-land Co. and Verizon.
Webster One Source, a commercial printing and distribution business based in West Boylston and Hanson, has hired BRENDA MILESTONE as a mailing specialist. Milestone has more than 20 years of experience in mail and fulfillment industries, including 10 years as vice president and co-owner of Global Business Express, formerly of Worcester. In her new position, she will head up all mailing activities for Webster One’s West Boylston location.
Oak Hill Country Club in Fitchburg has hired PGA member BUCKY BUCHANAN as director of membership. In his new position, Buchanan will handle member recruiting and work with staff to create new programs for the club’s members. Buchanan has been a PGA member since 1988 and has worked in golf-related positions since the early 1990s.
DR. JENNIFER DALEY was named executive vice president and COO of UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. She previously served as chief medical officer of Partners Community Healthcare in Boston.
Hopkinton drug development consulting firm Talaris Advisors has hired DEREK H. LEE as chief financial and corporate development officer. Lee previously worked for healthcare venture capital firm SV Life Sciences, where he directed financial and investment planning for more than 55 portfolio life sciences companies. He has also worked for the Global Healthcare Group at UBS Warburg and the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Salomon Smith Barney.
Clinton Savings Bank has hired DEBRA COLONNA as a mortgage underwriter. Colonna has worked in underwriting for 17 years, including time at Marlborough Savings Bank and Enterprise Bank in Lowell. She is a graduate of Bentley University.
Marlborough Hospital has hired ELLEN C. CARLUCCI as director of development. Before starting the new job, Carlucci worked for the American Heart Association, managing large fundraisers like the Central Massachusetts Heart Ball and Heart Walk. Before that, she worked in health care and corporate wellness and fundraising for 15 years.
UniBank in Whitinsville has hired CHRISTINE PRUNIER as vice president and director of human resources. In her new position, Prunier handles company strategy around compensation, benefits and recruitment for the bank and its subsidiaries, UniBank Fiscal Advisory Services Inc. and Sterling Associations. Prunier has worked in banking for 25 years, most recently as vice president and HR manager at Millbury Federal Credit Union.
Charter TV3, Charter Communications’ local community television station, has hired MELISSA TOUPIN as a general assignment reporter. Toupin previously served as host of Kraft Sports Productions’ Totally Patriots, and she has also been an associate producer for Young Broadcasters of America. She is originally from Millville and has a bachelor’s degree in communication from Curry College in Milton.
JOHN MARCUS was named vice president of enrollment services and marketing at Dean College in Franklin. His previous employment includes stints in admissions and financial aid at Westfield State College and Fitchburg State College, as well as leadership roles at major student loan companies.
