JEREMY LEAP has joined Miford Federal Bank as senior vice president, commercial lending. Leap will be responsible for leading Milford Federal’s commercial bankers. He has 16 years of experience as a commercial lender, most recently at Savers Bank in Southbridge. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Pittsburgh.
JOHN KELLEY will lead Unibank’s commercial lending team in Worcester, continuing his service as vice president and senior commercial loan officer. He has more than 40 years of banking experience and has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from American International College in Springfield.
Two new curators are onboarding with the Worcester Art Museum. SAMANTHA CATALDO started as the museum’s associate curator of contemporary art May 23. She joins the museum from the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester, N.H., where she was the senior curator of contemporary art. On Aug. 1, NATALIA ANGELES VIEYRA will join the museum as associate curator of American art. She is serving as the Maher Curatorial Fellow of American Art at the Harvard Art Museums.
UMass Memorial Health in Worcester has hired four new doctors. Dr. ROBERT FORRESTER, a psychologist, is now practicing at UMass Memorial Medical Group – Outpatient Psychiatry Services in Worcester. Dr. BIBEK KOIRALA is a hospitalist who completed his internal medicine residency at Northwell Health – Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, N.Y. Dr. LUCY LIU, an obstetrician and gynecologist, is now practicing at UMass Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus in Worcester and at UMass Memorial Health at Northborough Crossing. Dr. KRISTEN MATTESON, a graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, is also an obstetrician and gynecologist. She specializes in abnormal uterine bleeding and outpatient gynecologic care.
HANNAH DANGELANTONIO is now the branch manager at GFA Federal Credit Union’s Winchendon location. She has been with the credit union since 2018, when she started as a better banking associate. She was quickly promoted to the role of ambassador, then to a designer in May 2020 before earning the role of assistant branch manager of GFA’s Pearson Boulevard location in Gardner in March 2021. She has worked in almost all of the credit union’s 10 branch locations.
Worcester nonprofit Summit Agency, which serves children and adults with autism and related diagnoses, added two new members to its board of directors. JAMES THOMPSON JR. brings to the board his expertise in managing financial systems, which he does at the UMass Medical School in Worcester. As an academic administrator, he is responsible for the financial administration and operations of the RNA Therapeutics Institute, one of the university’s departments. NICHOLAS LOWTHER, a board-certified behavior analyst, has experience treating children experiencing conditions commonly demonstrated in the Summit Agency population. He has served as a consultant to the therapeutic alternative school Summit Academy for more than 10 years.
Cornerstone Bank in Worcester has added two new corporators. KWASI ACHEAMPONG brings his expertise from the nonprofit sector to the bank. He serves as president and executive director of Our Bright Future, Inc. in Southbridge, which provides after-school programs for children in underserved communities. LIZ PANAGIOTOU has nearly 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. She serves as president and owner of Employee Benefit Advisors, Inc., a Worcester provider of employee benefit planning, product sales and service to clients across New England.
LINDA ROSENLUND has joined The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for The Performing Arts in Worcester as vice president of advancement. A 1982 graduate of Assumption University in Worcester, Rosenlund worked at her alma mater as acting vice president of university advancement. She was on the opening committee of the Hanover when it opened in 2008, meaning she helped launch the inaugural group of volunteer ushers.
