Dr. XINGZI “SHIRLEY” SHANGGUAN has joined UMass Memorial Health – Harrington’s family medicine practice at 100 South St., Suite 208 in Southbridge. Board-certified in family medicine, Shangguan holds a certificate of added qualification in sports medicine and has co-authored a number of sports medicine papers published in a variety of medical journals. Outside of her primary care and sports medicine experience, Shangguan has participated in medical research studies at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Hudson Valley Heart Center in New York, and Vassar College in New York. She joins UMass Memorial Health – Harrington from the University of Miami family medicine clinic, where she provided care in family medicine and urgent care.

GAGNON

BERNARD GAGNON is now senior vice president, commercial loan officer at Bay State Savings Bank in Worcester. Gagnon has more than 30 years of banking experience in Worcester County and lives in Oxford. He is a board member of WICN Public Radio. 

Sharon native ROSEMARY TOOTELL has been named litigation associate in Worcester law firm Fletcher Tilton’s Boston office. A graduate of Boston College Law School, Tootell’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation, including closely held business and shareholder disputes, employment litigation, real estate litigation, and general business and contract matters. Before joining Fletcher Tilton, Tootell interned and clerked with the Massachusetts Superior Court and various administrative agencies for the state government. In law school, she was a student attorney in the Juvenile Rights Advocacy Project, did a semester in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the major crimes division, clerked at a Boston firm supporting the litigation department, and worked as a judicial intern for a justice of the Suffolk County Superior Court. Before law school, she worked as a paralegal.

TYSON VASAPOLI, digital strategist at BlueHive Exhibits in Worcester, has been named a Future Leader by the national Exhibit Designers & Producers Association. The program honors the best and brightest young professionals under age 40 whose work and daily contributions to the events industry are making a difference for a positive future and whose thought leadership empowers colleagues and clients to raise the bar.
