Country Bank in Ware appointed four new members to its board of trustees and four new corporators. The new board members include ROSS DIK, owner of Knight-Dik Insurance in Worcester; STACEY LUSTER general counsel and assistant to the president of Worcester State University; attorney RICHARD MAYNARD, owner of the Law Offices of Richard H. Maynard, PC in Belchertown; ELIZABETH RAPPAPORT, partner at Century Investment Co. in West Springfield. Luster will serve as corporator. Other new corporators include KYRIAKOS KONSTANTAKI, co-founder and principal at Amcomm Wireless in Charlton; MELISSA FALES, loan program coordinator at Quaboag Community Development Corp. in Ware; JENNIFER COOKE, director of retirement plans at CIG Private Wealth Management in Connecticut; and WILLIAM TRUDEAU, executive vice president and partner at HUB International LLC in Agawam. 

DESRUISSEAUX

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. in Worcester announced TRACY DERUISSEAUX, director of the medication for opioid use disorder program with the Massachusetts Department of Corrections, was awarded the Association for Behavioral Healthcare’s Outstanding Leadership Award. Deruisseaux has led the program for inmates since its inception in 2020. 

TOOHEY

JAMES TOOHEY, a board member of St. Mary’s Credit Union in Marlborough, was honored with an Award of Excellence by the Cooperative Credit Union Association. Prior to his role on the board, Toohey served as the credit union’s director starting in 1970.

SPENCER LYONS joined Carr Financial Group in Worcester as the company’s associate financial planner. Lyons received both his bachelor’s degree in finance and his master’s degree in finance from Southern New Hampshire University. 

KANTORSKI

Colantonio Inc. in Holliston announced six staff members have achieved certification from the Passive House Institute U.S. as passive house builders. Project managers MARC CHEN, JACOB ROBITAILLE, and ANDREW KANTORSKI, along with estimators NICK BEAN, BRETT SZYMKO, and LAWRENCE BRODERICK received certification.

LIZ HAMILTON, executive director at the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester, was honored with the 2021 Maytag Dependable Leader Award for her consistent dedication and leadership. The award includes a $20,000 grant from appliance manufacturer Maytag. In 2015, Hamilton achieved a milestone by becoming the nonprofit’s first female executive director.

Bryley Systems Inc. in Clinton promoted ETHAN BRUSH to senior field technician. His new responsibilities include training new hires. Brush is a graduate of Norwich University in Vermont.

Worcester nonprofit RCAP Solutions hired MADISON WELLMAN as the company’s new business opportunity specialist. Wellman will manage the Open for Business program, a new economic development initiative supporting small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs. 

HOWARD-WILSON

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester announced the addition of four new physicians. Dr. ARVIND BADHEY is an otolaryngologist; Dr. SAKEINA HOWARD-WILSON is a hospitalist; Dr. MATTHEW LOCONTE is an emergency medicine physician; and Dr. PRATEEK SHUKLA is an endocrinologist/diabetes physician.

SHANNON BEVERIDGE of Leicester joined ERA Key Realty Services as a Realtor in the Spencer office. In addition to her realty work, Beveridge teaches social studies at Tantasqua Regional Junior High School in Sturbridge. She is a graduate of Worcester State University.

Discovery Museum in Acton welcomed ANDREW MAGEE to its board of directors. Magee is a retired partner of Epsilon Associates, Inc. of Maynard and served two terms on Acton’s select board. He serves on a variety of committees such as Acton’s Open Space Committee, Water Resources Advisory Committee, and Water Resources Advisory Committee.

St. Mary’s Credit Union in Marlborough appointed ERICK PEREIRA to junior commercial lending officer. His responsibilities will include cultivating new relationships to generate business loans while servicing existing commercial relationships. Pereira is a Framingham State University graduate, where he received his bachelor’s degree in business management. 

PAUL

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester hired four new doctors to its medical staff. Dr. SAMSON HANKA is an internal medicine physician; Dr. TENES PAUL is a hospitalist/internal medicine physician; Dr. DAVID LINSHAW is a surgical oncologist; and Dr. KAITLYN WONG is a pediatric surgeon.

JENNIFER DAVID CAREY of Worcester and LAWRENCE CURTIS of Boxford became the newest members elected to the Worcester Art Museum’s board of trustees. Carey is executive director of the Worcester Education Collaborative while Curtis is the president and managing partner of WinnDevelopment in Boston.

Saint John’s High School in Shrewsbury welcomed two new staff members with the appointment of JIM DYER as director of leadership and planned giving and PATRICK MALONEY as director of leadership giving and strategic initiatives. Dyer earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester and previously held roles in the Holy Cross Fund Office, UMass Medical School, and Old Sturbridge Village. Meanwhile, Maloney graduated from the College of the Holy Cross with a bachelor’s in history before continuing his professional fundraising career at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and the Nativity School in Worcester.

HENRY TESSMAN was elected chair of the board for Visit North Central Massachusetts. Tessman is the general manager of Great Wolf Lodge New England in Fitchburg, where he oversees more than 700 employees. In addition to Visit North Central Massachusetts, Tessman serves on the boards for the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce, Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce, Greater Gardner Chamber of Commerce, and the Mount Wachusett Community College Foundation.

Holliston-based construction management firm Colantonio Inc. welcomed BRIAN HENEY as its new preconstruction manager. Heney brings his 20 years of architecture experience to the firm. While his past work focused primarily on K-12 school projects, Heney’s new role will center around the management of preconstruction activities and quality control.
