Central One Federal Credit Union in Shrewsbury announced milestone anniversaries for several employees. RAJANI KODURI, Westborough branch manager, and CHUCK FRAIL, system support manager, celebrated 20 years of service. Marking 15-year anniversaries are OWEN RUSSELL, AVP of retail service; SANDRA GEORGIAN, card services coordinator; DEBORAH SAMPSON, senior agent; and GARY SWANSON, records and retention administrator.
Country Bank in Ware announced SHANE ELDER of Bellingham joined the bank’s commercial lending division. Elder has 10 years of experience in the commercial lending industry and will serve Central and Western Massachusetts in his new role. Before joining Country Bank, Elder worked on the commercial lending team at Milford Federal Bank.
The Aging Services of North Central Massachusetts located in Leominster named three new board members: SUSAN McCARTHY, director of the Pepperell Council on Aging; MICHAEL ELLIS, director of the Gardner Senior Center; and ELLEN BIRCHANDER, graduate program director of the Management of Aging Services Program at the University of Massachusetts in Boston. ASNCM serves as the region’s Aging Services Access Point.
Bluejay Diagnostics, Inc. in Acton appointed Dr. MARK FEINBERG as its chief medical advisor. Feinberg is a cardiovascular medicine specialist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and an associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. He is an affiliated faculty member at the Harvard Stem Cell Institute. Feinberg received his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania and completed an internal medicine residency at Duke University Medical Center and cardiology fellowships at Harvard School of Public Health and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
The Museum of Russian Icons in Clinton appointed three new members to its Board of Directors. ERIC BROSE of Boylston is a financial advisor for Infinex Investments located at Fidelity Bank. He is the chair of the Finance Committee for the Town of Boylston, chair of governance for Music Worcester, and president and treasurer of the Brose Hie Hill Foundation. WILLIAM O’NEIL of Lancaster is an attorney with Philbin and O’Neil specializing in estate and trust planning, Medicaid planning, and commercial and residential real estate. WENDY SALMOND is an art history professor at Chapman University in Orange, Calif., and a scholar of Russian and early Soviet art, architecture, and design. She is the editor of the Museum of Russian Icons’ Journal of Icon Studies.
Schwartz & Plante, a Worcester-based domestic relations and family law firm, announced the hiring of two new staff members. MARISA HIGGINS joined the firm as a domestic relations practitioner. Higgins’ areas of practice include divorce, domestic relations, custody, child support, and spousal support. A former recipient of Worcester Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty award, Higgins served as an officer at FletcherTilton, PC before joining Schwartz & Plante. DIANNE CHESTER joined the firm as a paralegal. Previously, Chester was employed by Markun Zusman Freniere & Compton, LLP in California.
Bowditch & Dewey of Worcester elected JARED FIORE as partner of the firm. Fiore is an experienced business advisor and trial lawyer who is known for analyzing client problems and weighing the pros and cons of various actions in an effort to achieve meaningful results. In 2017, he was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star. Fiore received a Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2012 and a bachelor's degree from the College of Holy Cross in Worcester in 2007.
Country Bank announced JESSICA McGARRY was promoted to first vice president, team lead for the commercial lending division in the East. McGarry joined Country Bank in 2017 and has more than 20 years of experience in financial services, specializing in commercial lending. A previous recipient of Worcester Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty Award in 2014, McGarry earned her bachelor’s degree in business from Nichols College.
