UMass Memorial Medical Group of Worcester hired four physicians. Dr. KARL CHAMBERLIN is an emergency medicine physician, Dr. MATTHEW GOTTBRECHT is a cardiovascular medicine physician, Dr. CAROLYN MURPHY is a hospice and palliative care physician, and Dr. AMEE PHAN is a family medicine physician.
SCOTT GOLD, a senior network engineer, celebrated 20 years of service at Bryley Systems in Clinton. Gold holds certifications from Cisco and VMWare. Before coming to Bryley, Gold worked for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge and busked with his guitar in Harvard Square.
MICHAEL HALE joined Shrewsbury Federal Credit Union as community relations officer. Previously, Hale served as assistant town manager for the Town of Shrewsbury for 32 years before becoming general manager of Shrewsbury Electric and Cable Operations. During his free time, Hale serves as an usher for the Worcester Red Sox at Polar Park.
Bay State Savings Bank in Worcester promoted two employees and added a new hire to its team. ARIANA DELLO STRITTO was promoted to marketing officer while KATHLEEN SIVRET was promoted to branch manager of the Auburn Branch, where she previously served as assistant branch manager. ZACHARY SILVERMAN was newly appointed as vice president and branch manager at the bank’s Holden location.
YALILE MALDONADO of Shrewsbury, was appointed to the Salem State University Board of Trustees by Gov. Charlie Baker. Maldonado serves as an adolescent social worker for the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families in Chelsea. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Salem State in 2009 before completing her master’s degree in social work at Salem State in 2020.
CRYSTAL DAHAR joined Ladybugz Interactive Agency in Southborough as the company’s digital account strategist. In addition to her new role, Dahar runs the local blog “Fun things to do in Central MA” and reaches an audience of more than 30,000 people.
BRYAN ACUTO was promoted to partner at Cunningham & Associates, a tax consulting firm in Worcester. Acuto earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Elmira College in New York and completed his master’s degree in finance from Harvard University in Cambridge.
bankHometown in Oxford announced the promotion of THOMAS DONOHOE to vice president of commercial lending. Donohoe joined bankHometown’s commercial lending team in 2015 and was promoted to assistant vice president in 2019. During his 14-year career in banking, Donohoe previously held positions with Bank of America, Santander, and Fleet Bank. He is a graduate of Providence College.
UMass Memorial Health Care Inc. of Worcester announced the addition of four new doctors. Dr. ELIZABETH FERZACCA is an internal medicine physician; Dr. JAMIE FLEMING is an anesthesiologist/pain management physician; Dr. RICHARD LESLIE is a hospitalist; and Dr. PATRICK MULVANEY is a dermatologist.
The Worcester State Foundation Board welcomed three new members: MARYBETH CAMPBELL, executive director of the Worcester Community Action Council; BARBARA MAHONEY, president and CEO at Leominster Credit Union; and KIMBERLY SALMON, associate vice president of community relations at The Hanover Insurance Group in Worcester.
