The Training Associates of Westborough hired LINDA PHANEUF and SCOTT TATE. Phaneuf will serve as a sales consultant, servicing the banking and financial markets. Tate is the company's new senior director of marketing. Phaneuf previously worked for WJM Enterprises in Northbridge, where she was a trustee and director of real estate development. She has a bachelor's degree in management information systems from Salem State University. Tate previously served as director of product marketing at Dimensional Insight in Burlington. He lives in Hopkinton.
BRIAN KWIATKOWSKI joined Proforma Marcom Solutions of Holden, as owner of the local company. The Cleveland-based franchise firm offers printing and promotional products. He has spent the last 14 years with Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc., working his way up to director of promotional resource operations.
DR. MICHAEL F. COLLINS, chancellor of the University of Massachusetts Medical School and senior vice president for the health sciences at the University of Massachusetts, has been elected to the board of directors of Commerce Bank, as well as the boards of Commerce Bancshares and 1-800-East-West Mortgage Co. Collins was appointed chancellor in 2008, having joined the university in 2005 as chancellor of the system's Boston campus. He is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester and earned a medical degree from Tufts University in Medford.
DONNA COMEAU was hired by the North Central Mass. Chamber of Commerce and North Central Massachusetts Development Corp. as a lending specialist. She previously worked for TD Bank.
PAMELA L. LeBLANC was promoted by SpencerBANK to the position of vice president of compliance and operations. She joined the bank in 2007 as a compliance specialist. LeBlanc is a resident of Worcester.
United Bank, with offices in Worcester, promoted DARILYN NARDI and LISA M. ROOD, and hired BARBARA FONTAINE, as regional managers. Nardi was formerly a branch administration officer, and will now serve the bank's 16-branch Springfield region. Rood was previously the bank's retail trainer, and will manage the seven Worcester-area branches. Fontaine will head the new Connecticut market branches. She has a bachelor's degree in communication studies from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.
MARINA TAYLOR was hired by UniBank in Whitinsville as vice president of commercial loans. Prior to joining the bank, Taylor was assistant vice president at Middlesex Savings Bank and Citibank N.A.
