DR. JEFFREY STEINBERG was hired by Harrington HealthCare System in Southbridge. He is a urologist specializing in urinary tract disorders and men's health. Dr. Steinberg formerly worked at Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago, where he was a practicing urologist and CEO. Previously, he was chief of surgery at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester. Dr. Steinberg earned his doctorate in medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia and received a master's in health care management from the Harvard School of Public Health. He did his residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and his preliminary general surgery residency at Beth Israel Hospital, also in Boston.
EMILY AUSTIN-BRUNS was hired; JAY BRY and CATHY DAGGETT promoted; and MICHAEL KUSHMEREK will switch roles at Fitchburg State University. Austin-Bruns is the new director of alumni relations. She previously worked at the North Central Charter Essential School in Fitchburg, where she was an assistant to the executive director and, most recently, director of development and community outreach. She is a graduate of Syracuse University in New York. Bry was promoted to serve as the university's vice president of finance and administration. He joined Fitchburg State in 1999 as assistant dean of students/director of campus living. He was then promoted to assistant vice president of administration and finance and served as chief operating officer. Bry holds a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture and a master's in business administration management from Purdue University in Lafayette, Ind. Daggett was promoted to comptroller. She was most recently the university's director for financial reporting and analysis. She graduated from Fitchburg State and is a CPA. Kushmerek is now director of annual giving. He was previously the university's assistant director of alumni relations. He earned two degrees from Fitchburg State: a bachelor's in history and political science and a master's in history.
ERIN BRADBURY was named secretary of the board of directors of the Elder Services of the Worcester Area. She is an attorney at The Law Offices of Erin Bradbury in Holden. Bradbury earned a bachelor's degree in government from Smith College in Northampton and a J.D. from Suffolk University in Boston. She is a resident of Holden.
CONNIE PION was hired as director of Destination Worcester. Most recently, she was area director of sales and marketing for the Hilton Garden Inn in Worcester for seven years. Prior to that, she held the same position at the Hilton Garden Inn and at the Sheraton Springfield Country Inn and Suites, both in Springfield. She began her new post July 8.
JACK DOOLIN was elected to the board of directors at the American Red Cross of Central Massachusetts. He is senior vice president of human resources for Workers' Credit Union in Fitchburg and is a resident of Marlborough.
JUDY GRANDE has been hired as marketing manager for Photofabrication Engineering Inc., a precision metals fabricator in Milford. She previously worked at Huebcore Publishing Co. As president of Grande Marketing Communications, she has worked with photochemical machining companies, including Photofabrication Engineering, in various capacities for more than 20 years. She holds a bachelor's from Pembroke College in Brown University in Providence and an MBA from Boston College.
SCOTT MARGASON was hired as chief operating officer at The Training Associates of Westborough. He had a 27-year career at Accenture and was most recently a senior director of client delivery at ServiceSource, a revenue management services firm. Margason earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry and an MBA in finance from the University of Denver, in Colorado.
RAY RITTER has joined the board of advisors for TechSandBox, a science and technology non-profit incubator, in Southborough. Ritter is president of Lighthouse Strategix, a Boxborough-based business advisory service. Prior to starting that business, he was president of Cambridge NanoTech. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J., and a master's in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y.
THOMAS DEVOE was hired as a sales executive at D. Francis Murphy Insurance Agency in Hudson and will be based out of the Marlborough office. Prior to joining the agency, he worked in business development for a staffing firm. He holds a bachelor's degree in business management from Boston College and is a resident of Hudson.
EMILY SRICHAROENCHAIKIT was hired as a financial advisor by Westborough-based Grimes & Co. She most recently served as a partner at Commonwealth Financial Group in Boston. Sricharoenchaikit is a graduate of Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn.
RICHARD GILFOY was hired and CHRISTOPHER OLDHAM and THOMAS DUBE promoted by Maynard-based construction firm JM Coull Inc. Gilfoy was hired as chief financial officer. He was most recently CFO at Cutler Associates. He is a resident of Sutton. Oldham, the firm's executive vice president, has been named chief operating officer to oversee the company's construction operations. Dube was named vice president of business development and preconstruction. He has been an employee at the firm for five years.
