PAULA MOLLOV, a Sterling resident, is now assistant vice president and mortgage originator at Clinton Savings Bank. She will be responsible for connecting existing homeowners and potential homebuyers, both English and Spanish speaking, with the mortgage and home loan solutions fitting their individual needs. Prior to joining Clinton Savings Bank, Mollov had an extensive background in banking, starting as a bank teller in 1998 at another local financial institution. She attended New England College of Business and Finance, specializing in banking studies.

JEREMY GROSSMAN has joined the Southborough builder Grossman Development Group as senior vice president and principal. He will oversee leasing activity and assist in all development capabilities. He was formerly a partner at the firm CBRE-New England and is a past chairman of the New England's Annual ICSC Retail Conference.

JOHN MCNEILL, a faculty member at Worcester Polytechnic Institute since 1994, has been named the head of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. McNeill is the founding director of the New England Center for Analog and Mixed Signal Design, and he spent 10 years in the electronics industry before joining the WPI faculty. He recently completed a year as a visiting researcher at the University of Massachusetts Medical School working on a team developing a wearable wireless sensor for prevention of bedsores in convalescing patients in hospitals, those in home care, long-term care facilities or in wheelchairs.

PETER BACCHIOCCHI has joined the Girard Financial Group LLC of Millbury as the vice president of operations and financial consultant. He brings more than 30 years of experience in financial services, including roles at Allstate Financial Services, MetLife Financial Group, Baystate Financial and the Patriot Financial Group.

KARA MURPHY has been promoted to director of sales enablement at the Training Associates Corp. in Westborough. In her new role, she will provide direction and leadership for all of the company's sales processes and initiatives, including improving sales procedures and implementing sales enablement techniques.

Worcester State University has elected three board members to leadership positions. CRAIG BLAIS, the president and CEO of the Worcester Business Development Corp., was elected chair. The Sutton resident has been a trustee since 2010. MARYANNE HAMMOND of Rochdale and STEPHEN MADAUS of Worcester were both elected as vice chairs. Hammond is a Worcester State alumna, a trustee since 2012 and a longtime public school educator. Madaus is a partner in the Worcester law firm Mirick O'Connell and a trustee since 2013.

KATIE LAPLANTE is the new vice president of health services for Venture Community Services of Sturbridge. Laplante will oversee residential and day habilitation nursing, plan and direct medical training and coordinate care. She brings more than 20 years of professional experience, most recently serving as wellness director at The Estate in Franklin, and has a nursing degree from the St. Vincent School of Nursing in Worcester.

DANIELLE NIXON has joined the pediatrics department at Reliant Medical Group. She has a medical degree from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago, and completed her pediatric residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, N.J.
