NANCI K. SHEPARDSON of Princeton has joined Wilson Language Training in Oxford as senior educational technologist in the program development department. Shepardson, a former elementary school teacher, works to create traditional and digital tools to augment Wilson Reading System curriculum and materials, and serves as a resource on assistive technology. She has degrees from Wheelock College and Simmons College.
PETER LAITINEN is the new director of Mount Wachusett Community College's paramedic technology certificate program. Laitinen has more than 30 years of experience in health care as a paramedic and a registered nurse, and he fills the role after the college had been looking for a local qualified candidate for several years. He has a bachelor in nursing from Curry College and a certificate in paramedic technology from Northeastern University, where he served as the paramedics program's assistant director and clinical coordinator for five years.
DESIREE RALLS-MORRISON has been appointed as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at Boston Scientific in Marlborough, effective Nov. 30. She will be a member of the company's executive committee, which includes providing legal counsel across the company's global businesses and functions. She succeeds Timothy Pratt, who said in April he is retiring from the company.
GEORGE SAKELLARIS, the president and CEO of Framingham-based Ameresco, has been appointed to the Northeast Clean Energy Council. Sakellaris, who founded the solar and energy efficiency company in 2000, is one of four members to join the Boston-based council, which advocates on behalf of clean-energy companies.
Pernet Family Health Service has elected three new members to its board of directors: DONALD HAMMAN, formerly of Teradyne, PIERRE TELEMAQUE of Saint Vincent Hospital, and ROSSIE TORRES STONE of Clark University and UMass Medical School. Each was elected to a three-year term for the Worcester nonprofit agency, which provides health and social services for disadvantaged families.
BRENT MARTINO is the new director of digital services at Paris Marketing in Worcester. Martino, a UMass Lowell graduate, has 20 years of experience in digital content and search engine optimization and has experience in animation and motion graphics. Paris Marketing became part of the BlueHive marketing group earlier this year.
ELEANOR F. HOUBRE of Worcester has joined Provo Wealth Management Group of Shrewsbury as business development and marketing director. The Becker College graduate was previously program and events coordinator with the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce and served for 31 years in various roles at the chamber.
CHRISTOPHER WATSON has been named the senior vice president and senior lending officer in Webster Five Cents Savings Bank's business banking division. Watson, who has a bachelor in economics from UMass Amherst, was most recently division manager of the commercial and industrial lending team at UniBank. He will replace the current senior vice president and senior lending officer, Russ Dye, who is retiring in March.
KERI MORAN is the new assistant director of nursing at Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center in Holden. The Spencer resident has a bachelor in nursing from Fitchburg State University and has been a registered nurse for 22 years.
RANDY TREMBLE of Gardner is the new food service director at Oakdale Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center in West Boylston. He has a degree in culinary arts from Le Cordon Bleu and began his career as a chef for the Navy in California.
