The Girl Scouts of Central & Western Massachusetts, which is based in Worcester and Holyoke, has appointed new members, including eight from Central Massachusetts. The new president and chairwoman is JOAN BERTRAND of Sterling, who is the vice president of human resources at AdCare Hospital in Worcester and an adjunct professor at Assumption College. The vice chairman is CASEY FREEMAN of Worcester, a wealth management advisor with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in Worcester. Also appointed to the board were MELISA ALVES of Spencer, an assistant director in the Career Development Center at the College of the Holy Cross; JENNIFER JOHNSON of Auburn, a registered nurse and clinical director for CareScout; MARYANN C. JOHNSON of Millbury, the chief development officer at Oak Hill Community Development Corp.; RYAN MATSON of Worcester, a health, life and disability insurance broker with Small Business Insurance Agency of Worcester; NIKKI A. SHARLEVILLE of Auburn, a state management analyst at the Hanover Insurance Group; and BONNIE WALKER of Millbury, the executive director of diversity and inclusion strategy at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

CHRISTINA DiRUSSO has been promoted to vice president of commercial lending at bankHometown of Oxford. DiRusso, of Leominster, began in the bank’s Leominster office in 2014. She received a certificate in commercial lending from the Massachusetts Bankers Association in 2012.

MICHELLE MONIZ is the new senior vice president of retail banking at bankHometown. Moniz was most recently a senior vice president and market manager at Webster Bank in Rhode Island. She is a graduate of Rhode Island College and lives in Coventry, R.I.

SHON RAINFORD is the new senior project manager for the Worcester Regional Food Hub in Shrewsbury. Rainford oversees day-to-day operations, including the aggregation and distribution of local food to area buyers at the food hub, which is based at the Worcester County Food Bank. He most recently served as managing partner at Heifer International in Rutland.

RUSSELL FONTAINE and YVONNE SANTOS have joined Country Bank as part of an effort from the bank to expand in Worcester, Hampshire and Hampden counties. Fontaine, from PeoplesBank, is the new first vice president of sales and market management. Santos, from United Bank, is the new vice president of market development.

ELLEN J. McGOVERN, the senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Clinton Savings Bank, has been elected to serve on the board of the United Way of Tri-County in Framingham. McGovern, of Shrewsbury, has been at Clinton Savings Bank for 17 years and has served on the board at the Nashua Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

LINDSEY SUTELA of Westminster is a summer intern in event coordinating and marketing at the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce. She is a 2016 graduate of Oakmont Regional High School and a student at the University of Tampa, working toward a marketing degree in 2020.

CHARLES P. CONROY is a new trustee of the Clinton Financial Services board. The Sterling resident has been a corporator of the firm for the past 23 years. Conroy was executive director of the Doctor Franklin Perkins School in Lancaster from 1987 until retirement in 2015, and is the manager of Charles P. Conroy Consulting.

JAMES W. CUSHMAN is the new vice president for private wealth management and director of business development at Bartholomew & Co., which has offices in Worcester and Chatham. Cushman, whose duties include expanding the company through affiliation, acquisition and succession, was a regional vice president for money management firms Invesco and Legg Mason.
