CHRISTOPHER CONTOIS was hired as general manager at NAL's Paint Center, Worcester, having been a part of the operations leadership team from 2001 to 2011. He most recently worked in sales, retail and account management in Tampa, Fla.
REBECCA BIALECKI was hired by Heywood Healthcare as vice president for community health. A former Athol Hospital and Heywood Healthcare trustee. Bialecki most recently served as executive director of the North Quabbin Community Coalition. The Orange resident holds a doctoral degree from Harvard University.
DR. PATRICK HOOK was hired by Reliant Medical Group of Worcester, joining the rheumatology division. He will see patients at the North Lake Avenue location. He earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, N.Y. Hook completed his internship and residency at UMass Medical School, and his fellowship in rheumatology at Boston University.
Also at Reliant, DR. RACHEL ORLECK-LUBKA and DR. LISA UEBELACKER have joined the department of behavioral medicine as psychologists. Orleck-Lubka will practice at Reliant's Auburn site; Uebelacker in Milford. Orleck-Lubka received a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She also completed a clinical psychology internship with the VA North Texas Healthcare in Dallas, and a post-doctoral fellowship in primary care behavioral health at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford. Uebelacker received her Ph.D. in psychology from Yale University. She then completed an internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Brown University. Uebelacker also works at Butler Hospital in Providence.
DR. FREDERIK A. PENNINGS has joined the medical advisory board of AccelSPINE, a maker of medical device products based in Dallas. He is an assistant professor in the department of neurosurgery at UMass Medical School and serves as director of the minimally invasive spine program at UMass Memorial Medical Center. Pennings completed a combined residency-Ph.D. program at the department of neurological surgery of the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The Worcester resident was fellowship trained in spine surgery at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.
REV. WILLIAM R. CAMPBELL was named vice president for mission at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester. He is president at Cheverus High School, a Jesuit secondary school in Portland, Maine, a position he has held since 2008. He will succeed Rev. Paul F. Harman, who was named vice president in 2011 and will remain at Holy Cross, working in a variety of mission-related activities. Campbell previously served as assistant chaplain at Holy Cross from 2003 to 2005 and 2007 to 2008, as well as one year as interim principal at Nativity School. He's a graduate of Holy Cross and earned his master's degree in divinity and licentiate of sacred theology from what is now part of Boston College.
MARY ANN DEMELLO was named interim executive director of the Marlborough-based Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School earlier this year. She holds a doctorate from Northeastern University and has served in various roles — including assistant superintendent — in four different school districts, including Hopkinton.
KEVIN GRIFFIN was hired as a project manager by Green Leaf Construction in Leominster. He formerly worked at Construction Monitoring Svcs. Inc. and at Gilbane Building Co.
THOMAS BAGLEY III of Anderson, Bagley and Mayo Insurance Agency, Leominster; JOHN BARRETT of The Law Office of John Barrett, Townsend; PAUL BROWN of Leadership Dynamics Inc., Leominster; JAMES GARRISON of Kirtland Capital, Acton; PETER HAZEL of Fidelity Bank, Leominster; DAVID McKEEHAN of the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce; and HENRI SANS of LeBlanc & Sans, Gardner, were all elected to three-year terms with the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts. Elected as officers to one-year terms: Garrison, chairman; TED LAPRES of Nypro Inc., Clinton, vice chairman; STEVEN STONE of Sterilite Corp., Townsend, treasurer; Bagley, clerk; and PHILIP GRZEWINSKI of Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts, president and recording secretary.
MEREDITH GREENE, MARY KADDIS ATTIA and ADAM C. PONTE joined FletcherTilton, a law firm with offices in Worcester and Framingham, as associates. Greene is in the special needs advocacy practice group and will work out of the Framingham office. She holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the College of the Holy Cross and a law degree from Suffolk University. Attia is practicing immigration law and specializing in family-based immigration matters. She's is a graduate of Boston University, with a bachelor's degree in psychology, and works out of the Framingham office. Ponte specializes in civil litigation. He earned a bachelor's degree in political science and Mandarin Chinese at the College of the Holy Cross, and his law degree from Boston University. He will work in the Worcester office.
