ANNA SMARRA is now assistant vice president/human resource manager at Millbury Federal Credit Union in Millbury. She has been with the company since 2014, when she joined as human resources manager. An Oxford resident, Smarra is a graduate of Nichols College in Dudley.
JEFFREY S. BRIGGS was promoted to practice area leader for health care and education at Capaccio Environmental Engineering in Marlborough. He will work with clients to provide a variety of services, including site assessment and LSP services, construction management and onsite safety services, and building, construction and site-related permitting for the company He was previously a senior project manager with Capaccio Environmental Engineering. He has a strong background in construction management and water and wastewater technologies.
ASHLEY ALLEN was hired as vice president of sales and marketing at Health New England in Springfield, which serves Worcester County. She joins Health New England from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, where she worked for more than 20 years. She holds three degrees from the University of Florida: a bachelor’s in advertising, a master’s in health administration and a master’s in business administration with a focus in marketing.
GERALD PLANGE was named senior consumer lending officer at Bay State Savings Bank in Worcester. He has more than 25 years in the financial industry and has worked for the bank since 1996, most recently as retail loan underwriter. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and sociology from the University of Science and Technology in Ghana, and a master’s degree in business administration from Nichols College in Dudley. He lives in Worcester.
JULIE VAUTOUR is now office manager at NEADS/Dogs for Deaf and Disabled Americans in Princeton. She previously worked at Walt Disney’s World on Ice, where she traveled to 20 countries. She has also been a fitness manager and instructor for more than 15 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Endicott College.
SCOTT HOWE was elected to the board of directors at the Solar Energy Business Association of New England, his first solar industry association board appointment. Howe is a partner and senior vice president of market development at Solect Energy in Hopkinton. He has worked in the Massachusetts solar industry since 2011.
SHAUN GINTER, president and CEO of CareWell Urgent Care, which has a center in Worcester, was elected to the Urgent Care Association of America Board of Directors. He is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and holds positions on the board for Urgent Care Centers of New England Inc., Urgent Care Assurance Co. and Northeast Regional Urgent Care Association. Ginter earned a bachelor’s degree and master’s in business administration from the University of Phoenix.
MAUREEN SIERGIE is now executive director at Elder Services of Worcester Area, Inc. She has been with the regional nonprofit since 1980, serving as assistant director since 1993. She is a licensed social worker and holds a bachelor’s degree in urban studies and a master’s degree in nonprofit management from Worcester State University.
