PATRICIA A. OSTROUT, senior vice president of retail banking at North Brookfield Savings Bank, was named volunteer of the year at the Quaboag Hills Chamber of Commerce. The annual award recognizes the person who has gone above and beyond for the chamber. Ostrout has been involved with the chamber since 2005, when she first joined as a member of the board of directors. In addition to her work with the chamber, she stays involved with the community by mentoring students at a business workshop at North Brookfield Elementary School, playing in the Jimmy Fund Putt-a-Thon and volunteering at the West Brookfield Asparagus and Flower Heritage Festival.
REBECCA ROBINSON is now president of the Junior League of Worcester. A member of the league since 2012, she has served as fundraiser co-chair and chair of future planning. She is a graduate of Roger Williams University School of Law in Rhode Island and lives in Fitchburg.
MICHELLE JONES-JOHNSON is now vice president for talent development and chief diversity officer at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. In the newly-created role that merges talent acquisition with the responsibilities of a chief diversity officer, Jones-Johnson will support employee and leadership recruitment, retention and development and will identify opportunities to make WPI more diverse and inclusive. She joins WPI from Aetna, where she was senior human resources business partner. A graduate of the University of Michigan and Syracuse University's Whitman School of Management, she lives in Worcester with her husband and two children.
FRANCES M. MAGEE has been named assistant provost and dean of students at Clark University in Worcester. She has more than 20 years of experience in student affairs, most recently as dean for campus life at the New York Institute of Technology at Old Westbury. She holds a bachelor's degree in communication and German studies from Randolph College in Virginia, a master's degree from the University of Virginia and a doctorate of education from Columbia University. She lives in Worcester.
TRACY JONES is now athletic director at the Bancroft School in Worcester. She has experience as an athlete, coach and administrator and has worked in school, college and youth sports organizations. For the past four years, Jones worked for the Positive Coaching Alliance, developing research-based workshops to help coaches improve performance through a positive youth sports experience. She has coached at the collegiate level, as assistant women's soccer coach at NCAA Division 1 DePaul University in Chicago and as head soccer and lacrosse coach at Colby-Sawyer College.
KATIE MEEHAN was hired as an applied behavior analysis therapist at Behavioral Concepts, Inc. in Worcester. She holds a bachelor's degree from Fitchburg State University and lives in Fitchburg.
ROCHELLE AMARO is now branch manager at the 35 Main St. in Ashburnham location of GFA Federal Credit Union. She has nearly a decade of banking expertise, joining the credit union in 2015 as assistant branch manager of the Pearson Boulevard branch in Gardner. In her new role, Amaro will serve as Ashburnham's community banking leader, engaging actively with the business community. She attended Fitchburg State University and Mount Wachusett Community College and lives in Fitchburg.
