KATELYN PARSONS is now director of marketing and membership at the Massachusetts Farm Bureau Federation in Marlborough. She will focus on building awareness of the Farm Bureau brand in Massachusetts, in hopes that will lead to wider membership. Before joining the nonprofit, she worked for the U.S. Grains Council in Washington, D.C. as the manager of communications. She is a native of Hadley, where her family has farmed for generations.
ROBERT SCHERER is now director of finance at the Worcester Community Action Council in Worcester. He previously worked as director of finance at the South Middlesex Opportunity Council in Framingham, and has a strong background in contract administration, budgets and grant oversight at various nonprofits and state agencies. He is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester and the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts. He is the father of four adult children and lives in Ashland with his wife.
GREGORY ROMERO, vice president of KE Tube, Inc. in Gardner, was named secretary of the Parkinson's Foundation in Miami and New York City.
LAURIE WISNIEWSKI, MARCIA ROBBINS and SARAH HEBERT joined Idea Agency in Sturbridge. Wisniewski, who has nearly 30 years of financial management, organizational and employee development, and strategic planning experience, joins the firm as business manager, where she will manage business operations and report to and work closely with agency President Christine Tieri. Robbins will leverage her experience in project management, business degree with a marketing concentration and graphic design skills in her new role as account manager, where she will be responsible for the marketing needs of Idea Agency clients. Hebert joins the firm as junior account manager, where she will assist Tieri with new business development and internal marketing. She has experience in strategic analysis, organizational behavior and business communication.
JEAN M. HOSKINS was promoted to branch manager at the One Lincoln St., Framingham location of MutualOne Bank, after just eight months with the bank. Before joining MutualOne Bank, she worked for TD Bank as a store supervisor and customer service representative. She holds a bachelor's degree in business management from Jackson State University in Jackson, Miss. She lives in Framingham, volunteers with the Pearl Street Cafe and is a deacon at the Greater Framingham Community Church.
LEAH M. TOWER is now staff accountant at Robert C. Alario, CPA, P.C. in Leominster. She joins the firm from Ryznal Associates in North Oxford, where she was office manager and an accountant for more than 10 years. She is a graduate of Quinsigamond Community College and Worcester State University, where she received a bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus on accounting. She is enrolled in a master's program at Nichols College and is studying to take the CPA exam.
LOUIS CORAPI and ALEX CRUZ were both promoted at Webster Five Cents Savings Bank in Webster. Corapi, who joined the bank in 2013 as a business lender, is now vice president, business lending officer, where he will supervise two other lenders and continue to provide business banking services. Cruz was promoted to assistant vice president, a year after he was promoted to business lending officer. According to the bank, he exceeded expectations in the business lending area, leading to his most recent promotion. He has been with the bank since 2009, when he joined as a branch manager.
