Hosford is now vice president of personnel. She is from East Brookfield. Kowal, of Spencer, was promoted to assistant vice president of marketing.
Sturbridge-based Savers Bank named LAURIE ALICEA as manager of its Sturbridge branch. She has been a bank employee since 1986 and an assistant branch manager for the past 10 years. Alicea resides in Southbridge.
Westborough-based Smith, Sullivan & Co. PC hired JANIS L. OREL as tax manager. She is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth and has previously held positions at Godes, Schaffer and Co. PC and Abrams Little-Gill Loberfeld PC.
Paxton-based Anna Maria College named DAVID P. FORSBERG to the college’s board of trustees. He is president of the Worcester Business Development Corp. Forsberg is a graduate of Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, and earned a master’s degree in urban affairs from Boston University.
Meridian Associates Inc. in Westborough hired JEFFREY A. THOMA as a senior associate. He is a registered landscape architect and a graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
The Worcester Sharks promoted MICHAEL G. MYERS to senior director of business and community development. He is a resident of Worcester. Before being hired by the Sharks, he owned and operated Myers Mask Design. He is a graduate of Assumption College in Worcester.
TOM RYAN was named chief advancement officer for St. John’s High School in Shrewsbury. He is the vice president for institutional advancement at Assumption College in Worcester and will assume his new role Feb. 1.
Southborough-based Culinary Underground School for Home Cooks hired HEATHER TOLMIE, LIZ DELLA PAOLERA and DIANE RICHMOND as chefs. Tolmie, a Framingham resident, is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington. Paolera formerly worked at Vicki Lee’s Bakeshop in Needham. She lives in Ashland. Richmond, of Boylston, graduated from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston.
Worcester-based P.L. Jones & Associates PC hired TINA M. MASIELLO as staff accountant. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Worcester State University. Masiello lives in Worcester.
Eaton Corp., an industrial manufacturer with offices in Worcester, promoted JEFF AMES to business unit manager. An employee of Eaton since 1998, he most recently held the position of senior manager for a division in Raleigh, N.C. He has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Syracuse University in Syracuse, N.Y., and an MBA from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Anna Maria College in Paxton hired LLOYD L. HAMM JR. as chief operating officer, effective Jan. 23. Hamm earned a bachelor’s degree and an MBA at Anna Maria College. He is employed by Eastern Bank Corp.
Marlborough-based Advanced Cell Technology Inc. named GREGORY D. PERRY and ZOHAR LOSHITZER to the company’s board of directors. Perry is executive vice president and chief financial officer of ImmunoGen Inc. and previously worked for Elixer Pharmaceuticals. Loshitzer is chief executive officer of Presbia, an ophthalmic-device firm, and is principal at Orchard Capital, a private equity firm.
Webster Five Cents Savings Bank named PATRICK ROYCE small business lending officer and ROBERT TOTARO branch manager. Royce was previously branch manager in Shrewsbury. He has a bachelor’s degree from Worcester State University and an MBA from Framingham State University. He lives in Sutton. Totaro will oversee the Grafton Street branch in Worcester, where he was formerly assistant branch manager. A Worcester resident, he has a bachelor’s degree from Worcester State University.
Barre Savings Bank hired SARAH A. GALVIN as vice president and senior loan officer. She most recently worked at Enterprise Bank & Trust Co. in Lowell. An Ashburnham resident, Galvin earned a bachelor’s degree from Fitchburg State University and an MBA from Anna Maria College in Paxton.
