Southbridge-based Savers Bank hired CHRISTOPHER WSZOLEK as vice president of commercial lending. Wszolek was most recently employed at Country Bank, as vice president of commercial loans. He lives in Holland.
Worcester-based medical device company Grove Instruments Inc. named WILLIAM TAMBORLANE to the firm’s scientific advisory board. He is professor of pediatrics, chief of pediatric endocrinology and deputy director of the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation at Yale University in New Haven, Conn.
TD Bank named JAMIE P. ADAMS store manager at 746 Washington St. in Holliston. He was previously a branch manager at Citizens Bank in Natick and Framingham. Adams graduated from the University of Southern Maine in Portland with a bachelor's degree in finance. He lives in Framingham.
Worcester-based Hassett & Donnelly PC hired TARA E. LYNCH of Worcester as an attorney. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Conn., and a law degree from Syracuse University in New York.
Clinton Savings Bank promoted DANIELLE MCCARTER to assistant vice president/human resources manager. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Framingham State College.
Westborough-based software solutions firm ViryaNet Limited promoted GLENN MARTIN to vice president of sales. He has held several senior sales and marketing positions over his 20-year career.
Sturbridge-based Smith & Jones hired ADAM BERTRAND of Southbridge as web developer. For the past five years he has worked as an ESL teacher in South Korea. Bertrand has a bachelor’s degree from South Dakota State University in Brookings.
FRANCISCO A. VENTURA, club manager of Oak Hill Country Club in Fitchburg, was elected vice president of the New England Club Managers Association. He was previously general manager of Blue Hill Country Club in Canton.

The Social Security Administration named STEVEN N. WEINER district manager of the Worcester office at 51 Myrtle St. He most recently held the position of SSA district manager in Taunton. Weiner earned a bachelor’s degree from Touro College in New York City and a master’s degree in urban planning and public administration from Brooklyn College.
Worcester-based Cutler Associates hired JOSEPH PRATES as executive vice president of the Northeast. He most recently worked for Liberty Construction, a subsidiary of Suffolk Construction, in a management position.
The SHINE Initiative, a Leominster-based nonprofit that fights mental illness in children and young adults, named PAUL RICHARD executive director. Richard, of Worcester, has held fundraising, resource development and community relations positions with several nonprofit organizations in Central Massachusetts over the past 23 years. He attended Fitchburg State University and is a graduate of Holy Name High School, Worcester.
The Worcester Public Library Foundation Board of Trustees recently elected officers. They are: LESLIE FISH, president; DR. ROBERT SORRENTI, vice president; and JAMES MERZ, treasurer. Fish is senior director at Fallon Community Health Plan; Sorrenti is chief medical officer at UniCare and Merz is chief actuary at Hanover Insurance Co.
