IC Federal Credit Union, based in Fitchburg, made changes in its senior management team, promoting BRENDA BUJNEVICIE, CHRISTINE LANE, BRUCE MATHIEU, PHILIP RICHARDS and HOLLY SANCHEZ. Bujnevicie is senior vice president of mortgage lending and loss prevention; Lane is senior vice president of risk and budget; Mathieu is senior vice president of retail and consumer lending; Richards is senior vice president of operations and strategy; and Sanchez was promoted to training and employee engagement manager.
BRENDAN O'LEARY was hired by UMass Medical School in Worcester as an executive vice chancellor. He previously worked for Prism Venture Management in Needham, where he served as general partner in charge of the life sciences group. O'Leary also held various roles at IGEN International, a medical diagnostics company. He holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry and economics from Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vt., and a doctorate in organic chemistry from MIT.
MICHAEL SEMIZOGLOU was hired as a senior vice president and commercial relationship officer at Avidia Bank, based in Hudson. He was previously employed at Mutual One Bank, Metro Credit Union and TD Bank. The Shrewsbury resident has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Emmanuel College and an MBA from New England College of Business, both in Boston.
LORI WONG and ROSEANNE FRATONI joined the staff at Oxford Insurance Agency in Oxford. Wong is a commercial lines account manager, and was previously employed by The Markham Group in Ayer. Fratoni is a personal lines account manager who most recently worked with The Sullivan Group in Worcester.
MICHAEL CHECKOSKY, BRIAN TREITMAN, CINDY HOWARD, JOHN LAFLECHE, JESSICA BETTENCOURT, CHRIS CANNIFF, BRUCE WATKINS and DANIELLE WILSON have all joined the board of directors for the Chamber of Central Mass. South. Checkosky, chairman, is a mortgage consultant at Southbridge Savings Bank. Treitman, owner of B.T.'s Smokehouse in Sturbridge, is first vice chair. Howard, second vice chair, is director of administration for Center of Hope in Southbridge. Lafleche, board treasurer, is superintendent of Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School in Charlton. Bettencourt is president of Klem's in Spencer. Canniff is executive director of human resources with Harrington HealthCare System. Watkins is general manager of Karl Storz Endovision of Charlton and Wilson is an account manager with smith&jones Idea Agency.
CYNTHIA SNYDER and DEB BAYER have been hired by Oakdale Rehab & Skilled Nursing Center in West Boylston, owned by Oriol Healthcare. Snyder, a registered nurse, is director of nursing services. A Paxton resident, she served as director of nursing services for Kindred Healthcare from 2010 to 2013. Bayer, of Northbridge, is the new director of dining services.
MARK SURPRENANT was promoted by GVNA HealthCare Inc. to vice president of operations. An employee of GVNA since 2011, he was vice president of homecare. Before that, he worked as a director of rehabilitation for Landmark Health Solutions. He earned a bachelor's degree in health sciences and a master's in occupational therapy from the University of New England in Portland, Maine. He also holds a master's degree in accounting from Suffolk University.
ATIYA RAHIM, CORTNEY KIEWEL and LARRY MERCIER were hired by Maynard-based construction firm JM Coull Inc. Rahim, an assistant project manager, previously worked for Legion Construction in Chelmsford. She holds a bachelor's degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology in architectural engineering technology. Kiewel, of Gardner, is a project engineer who joined the firm as an intern. She recently earned a bachelor's degree in architecture technology at Fitchburg State University. Mercier, a superintendent, previously worked for JK Blackstone in Boston. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction technology from Fitchburg State.
ALEX HOLDEN was hired as education and event manager for 15-40 Connection of Westborough, a nonprofit that promotes early cancer detection. She was previously employed as a marketplace coordinator at Taza Chocolate in Somerville. Before that, she worked as manager and assistant buyer at On Centre and as a chocolate specialist at Lindt & Sprungli. She earned a bachelor's degree at West Chester University of Pennsylvania in communication studies.
STEPHAN GORSUN was promoted to assistant vice president of underwriting for Unum's national client group. He has been with the Chattanooga, Tenn., insurance company - which has offices in Worcester - for five years. Gorsun graduated from Saint Joseph's College in Standish, Maine, with a bachelor's degree in marketing.
MEGAN DIPRETE was promoted to deputy director of the Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor. One of her significant projects is working with stakeholders and partners to complete the Blackstone River Bikeway, 50 miles of trails between Providence and Worcester. She previously served as a town planner and regional planner. She holds a master's degree in public administration from the University of New Hampshire.
JEFFREY BURNS was hired as director of sales for DMT Diamond Machining Technology of Marlborough. Most recently the sales director for Magellan GPS in Santa Clara, Calif., he has also served as national sales manager for Reebok International's running specialty group.
W. PATRICK HUGHES, president and CEO of Fallon Health of Worcester, was named chair of the Massachusetts Association of Health Plans (MAHP).
PETER K. HAZEL has been hired as vice president and commercial loan officer at North Brookfield Savings Bank. The Ashburnham resident has more than 30 years of related experience, with roles at Fidelity Bank and GFA Federal Credit Union.
